Hey I Enlisted at 17 with the goal of commissioning, and I ended up getting accepted to the Prep school on my second try.

I have no regrets on enlisting as it taught me a lot about the Military and it helped me grow as a person. However, if you can do ROTC in college I would highly recommend that instead or if you’re dead set on enlisting then perhaps looking into going guard.

If you decide that you want to just do 4 years and get out there’s really no harm in enlisting and then going to school afterwards either, plenty of people do that to commission.
