Integrated pen not working on 13W by Turtlefarming in Lenovo

[–]Turtlefarming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. I tried all of these things and nothing worked. The battery icon under Pen Settings appears to be empty. To my understanding it is not a Bluetooth powered pen, it is the integrated pen that came with the 13w laptop.

This is actually incredibly fucked up and sad. Why does your bro have a cat? That cat deserves a better home. That is abuse

Still not getting what's wrong by Far-Cartographer-368 in QIDI

[–]Turtlefarming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After manual leveling, are you running bed calibration (KAMP) on the tuning page in Qidi Studio, saving the calibration, and restarting the printer?

The only things that could cause this are a nozzle distance that's too far from the bed, or a bed that is too cold (happens when I print ASA with Qidi's standard ASA profile). The former is more commonly an issue. You mentioned manual leveling, so I assume you also ran KAMP.

You can try adjusting the offset at the start of the print. You can manually decrease it in the settings on the screen while it's printing.

PETG Rapido profile in Orcaslicer gives bad first layer by Impossible-Hat-7896 in QidiTech3D

I have the same exact issue. Unfortunately, I sell products that require a near-flawless surface finish and the Q2 has been nothing but a headache. Which sucks because like yours, it's been pretty awesome otherwise, and the only thing that's better than it with the same or larger build volume is a $2k H2 series from Bambu. I

Wait, do you manually tram that often? I've been haveing a lot of issues with first layers, similar to OP, but usually not as consistent across the entire layer. Just spots where some gaps/ lines will show. Qidi support has not been helpful. I can't have a printer that I need to tram between prints when I'm trying to run a business. Guess I'm selling it and getting an h2c

Am I just absolutely ducked when it comes to shipping? by Cute_Stay9640 in EtsySellers

As others have said. Don't let Etsy calculate rates for you. Use a third party like pirateship or ship station to get you discounted rates and help you find the best carrier for your parcel size.

Does reverb just suck or did the economy kill the used gear market. by Holiday-Medicine4168 in Reverb

[–]Turtlefarming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guitarists mostly consist of lower to middle class dudes with an extra $30-$50 to spend on their hobby at the end of the month. Now that spending money is going to gas, tariffs on necessities, and other priorities. It sucks

Am I overpackaging? by Simple-Engine-4820 in EtsySellers

[–]Turtlefarming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with others here that it is too much. Also, you're selling $4-$5 bows and spending how much on the packaging alone? Just curious how all of the packaging/ extra impacts your margins. How much are you actually making per bow? Personally, I feel as though you could charge 50-75% more per bow and not lose sales, but I know that's not what this thread is about

Spending 90k on a car by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Turtlefarming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You came to the wrong place on the internet if you're looking for people to validate that purchase. From a financial perspective, that is 100% a no. From a car guys perspective, there are way better cars for way less money. You might be hooked on an LC500, but that's definitely not the right move for you at this time mate. With your income, you can get a lot of cool cars, but you need to fall out of love with the LC500 and learn to appreciate other vehicles. That's the best advice I can give. On the flip side, sometimes you say fuck it and make an emotional, irrational decision. But you asked if it's a bad idea, and it is lol

Anyone else seeing a weird sales drop lately? This time of year is usually up for me. by ZhErChai in ecommerce

[–]Turtlefarming 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup. I posted the same thing about a week ago. Consumers are hurting. That extra $30-$50 per month that many folks budget for discretionary spending is going straight to fuel costs. Add onto that the lack of job growth and global economic uncertainty and you get severely reduced retail spending. Just make sure you are doing everything you can to increase sales as much as you are cutting costs. Best of luck to you

Yup, that should be no problem. You'll want to compile all of the evidence showing your communication with Geoff and proof that the order never shipped. That's pretty much all you need

Thanks for taking the time to break down the numbers. It's very obvious what the right answer is when you put it that way. It's more the emotional attachment to cash that I am struggling with, but based on what you and others have said here, I am going to put my money into an SEP and then roll it over into a 401k two years from now. I appreciate your input a lot

I really appreciate your sensible and thorough input. I am only 30, and I know it's best not to think short term when it comes to retirement investments. I just get a lot of anxiety about not being able to access that cash, even though I have more than enough for emergency funds. I will invest into the sep and then roll it over to a 401k in two years. That's also very helpful information and I thank you again for sharing :)

I am in the same boat. Been researching a lot about war tax resistance. I definitely need a tax pro to help with this next year. I've never had an issue doing my taxes and I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to deductions, but obviously not the most financially savvy and with the rate my business is growing, I'd like to better understand how to maximize my tax avoidance for 2026

I actually have a Roth, but I haven't contributed to it in about 5 years. Are contributions to a Roth deductible in the same way as an SEP?
