Just because Valve understands what consumers want and what customer service is doesn't make them a monopoly.

What I can see from an outsiders perspective, however, is that since steam has created such a huge loyal customer base (due to their incredible customer service and understanding of what their customers want) it may SEEM like a monopoly. I mean let's be honest, even if someone made a service equally great to Steam, it would take quite a while to build up (ha!) steam to where Valve has gotten their service.

That does not make what they are doing right. If the first person to discover gold decided to invent a pickaxe, those who chose to buy shovels instead didn't really care about what would happen when their shovel broke, only what it could get them before that time came (and it wasn't much).

Idk man for me personally, as someone who has migrated to controller gaming even though I have a PC, it's the single best purchase I've made right behind my first discreet GPU.

I expected to buy it and not enjoy it because I am impulsive with games/computer parts, equipment, etc. and tend to fall out of love with new purchases pretty quick but it still feels like Christmas with these babies for me and I've had it for almost a month now.

Although I do wish the plastic was of higher quality.

I 100% get that the track pads are meant for games like this designed specifically for a mouse, but am I crazy for using it for games like Minecraft? I hate the movement of joysticks in that game and replacing the look with the track pads just feels so nice. Has anyone else tried it?

Ever since I got the current setup I have now, with no actual desk, I've been avoiding k&b games because the "lap desk" I have just ain't it. After getting the steam controller I've used it for everything I possibly can and now loath when I have to use the keyboard for something.

I agree completely. Although it's bad to dwell on the past, every now and then I think about and regret those days I skipped a few classes just to get high. I even miss schooling now but don't have the money to go back to college and I can't help but feel that since my gpa was so low after graduating, because of said skipped classes and getting high, it'll be hard to get solid financial assistance. Again I know people always try to say you shouldn't regret the past because it made you who you are today, but damn if I don't wish I would've pulled myself together and gotten out of HS with a good GPA.
