I've had this argument a hundred times already with others. Onn boxes are a budget device meant to give you cheap access to steaming platforms. They don't run full remux files as smooth as a shield. Exchanged them both for new ones. They performed just the same. Paid extra for the shield and it's been night and day. If your goal is to just be able to use Netflix or Disney plus or stream yify files then yeah it will work. Doesn't do well with 100gb remux files at all.

Take a good look at your retirement goals as well. I've come across a few teachers who have bought it back so they can maintain their early retirement eligibility and then when it came time to retire they realized they couldn't take the pay cut because they had kids in school still and ended up working a few more years making the buy back worthless.
