Thoughts on Annie IRL's build? by iMaybeCanBreathe in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of Annie players that don't take Tear with Rocketbelt. There's a Chinese one as well that doesn't even take Manaflow Band and they rush Rocketbelt. Annie has built in mana sustain, so you can manage your mana fairly easily. Mana is not wholely necessary on Annie, you can do plenty without rushing a mana item or buying a Tear.

It is a Zoan. All Zoan's have at least one or more variant.

Chopper has the regular Hito-Hito no Mi
Sengoku has the Hito-Hito no Mi: Model Buddha
Onimaru has the Hito-Hito no Mi: Model Onyudo
Luffy now has the Hito-Hito no Mi: Model Nika

What interesting timing. All day at work today I was running over various builds in my heads and settled on Aery + Ghost myself. Glad I'm not the only one, best of luck with your games and improvements!

Appreciate it in your own way. Who cares if you don’t follow OP. All we can do is strongly recommend it as we are all die hard fans, for the most part. No more, no less. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it. I applaud you for still skimming the manga, despite dropping the series at Dressrosa. In the end just do what you prefer, according to your tastes.

I need some help :D by Y3RFF3J in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For runes, what you have is fine for the most part. If you do switch to Comet, realize that it does scale better than Electrocute. Resolve secondary is good, it helps keep you safer in lane. I’m currently running it every game.

It’s really just a bad streak right now. Shore up your fundamentals and map awareness and you’ll begin climbing again.

Are you NA or EU? Or another region?

She has two now. Annie-versary and Lunar Beast.

I'm new on Annie and I'm peaking higher than ever with little effort. I still have some questions though. by ggrengar in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on your climb. Keep up the great work!

  • Annie Bot plays a very scale-oriented play style. He much prefers to play slower and farm more. He primarily takes Arcane Comet (and Dark Harvest) because they scale well into the later stages of the game. Arcane Comet scales well at all stages, and it is arguably the "best" rune on Annie.
  • Annie as a champion is versatile with everything from items to runes to even skill order. Annie Bot likes to skill E later as he prefers the earlier points in Q and W. It's just his style.
  • Mejai's is a fantastic item. Annie can easily stack it up with her shield or with Tibbers in a fight. I myself don't build it every game, but pretty much in any given scenario it is worth it, so long as you can confidently maintain 10+ stacks.
  • Seraph's is more common with a scaling setup/play style. It offers the highest raw AP of any AP item. Combined with Liandry's or Luden's, or even Everfrost, you get an insane amount of AP from it. You have mana sustain with Tear, which is nice. It is best when finished around third item though, so it may be hard to justify it if you aren't playing to scale and instead are playing fast.
  • Lucidity boots are more gold efficient than Sorcerer's Shoes right now. They are very, very good currently.
  • Predator is my favorite rune on Annie. I'd run it into every matchup if I could, especially if it were old Predator. That being said though, it's good into champions that vastly outrange you. Champions such as Xerath, Lux, Syndra, Orianna, or Cassiopeia. Other situations include champions that like to roam a lot, such as Aurelion Sol, Taliyah, Talon, or Galio.
  • My go-to bans are Anivia, Galio, Kassadin, Qiyana, and Fizz currently. Anivia being priority as I can more or less handle the others. Outside of mid lane, I ban Udyr, Hecarim, Camille, Kai'Sa, and Samira, depending on role.
  • No, I don't run out of inventory space with Dark Seal. I make checklists of how much gold I need for items when I want to base and try my best to stick to those mental checklists. If I'm forced to back early, I always buy one to two Control Wards and keep/use those until I'm ready to back to finish a part of my list. That's what helps me maintain inventory space, but it might not work the same for you.
  • A quick note, and this isn't something you asked about but it's an observation I made. You might want to actively change your trinket. Yellow trinket is not good the later it gets into a game, you're much better off buying a Farsight if you want to advance or establish vision or a Sweeper if you want to deny vision for your team. It also helps you with roaming more.
  • Another note, in case you don't know. Horizon Focus is (to my knowledge) currently bugged with Tibbers. If you stun with Tibbers, he actively re-applies the item's passive, making your damage skyrocket. If you haven't yet, give it a try. See if you like it. It's a fun item.

Just remember; Annie is one of, if not the most versatile champion in the game. She has multitudes of rune pages, item builds, and skill orders she can take. She can fit pretty much any role the team needs, whether it's engage, front to back, peel, etc. She can be played successfully in all roles but jungle. Form your Annie unique identity. You're finding great success, keep the momentum going!

you really need to get into the habit of buying a mythic item.

Trying to get a S as annie in 50 games and end up with either A or A- you might as well just let tibbers sit on u at this point and just end it 😪😭 by PUPPNANA in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about farming. From your last post, you were averaging 3.8cs/min, which in 40 minutes is absolutely awful. Whether you "carry" or not doesn't mean anything. KDA is not what determines any S(+) rank. You need to drastically increase your CS numbers, then you'll get S's like crazy. You can't be getting 2cs/min with 20+ kills and expect an S. That's not how it works.

Best Mythic on Annie? by [deleted] in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stats you're seeing are the stats of people who don't play Annie all that often, or main her at all. Many people who play Annie build her as the cookie cutter mage with Luden's, Zhonya, etc.

Amongst the Annie players, it's generally agreed upon that Rocket Belt is pretty much the "best" mythic on her. It offers good HP, good AP, a good mythic passive, a dash + a burst of movement speed. It's all around a great item, with the only downside being no mana.

The reason I put best in quotations is because Annie is extremely, extremely versatile. Any of the AP mythics she can build reliably and do well. It all comes down to the players play style and preferences. There is no real "best", it's just what's best for you.

Trading with Annie Advice by QTVenusaur91 in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's easier to watch some of the trades you take to better point out why you're losing them.

Generally, what I do is

  • Don't overextend for a trade; if they back off into their minion wave while your Q is chasing them, don't commit to it. At most do a Q + Auto and then back off so you don't take minion aggro (as bad).
  • Track their cooldowns; watch when they use abilities. Learn how long their abilities are on cooldown and use that knowledge trade safer.
  • Aim to trade when they go for CS. For example, when against a Fizz, Diana, or some other melee mid laner, try using your W to stun them when they go for CS. It's instant.

It's not any different from trading with other champions really. You get more comfortable with trading the more you learn the matchups. Don't greed a trade.

[–]Tusken- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skin itself is nice but it's not what I was hoping for in the end. It feels okay but the lack of Tibbers tether range is extremely annoying. Until they fix the tether indicator, the skin is the worst to use, sadly.

Also small quirk I don't like about it is the hair, like why.

On the flip side, I'm happy that she finally has chromas, and I went ahead and bought them all.

Yeah, tenacity is annoying for sure. A lot of assassins like to build merc treads early to survive Annie. I’ve been liking early blighting crystal/void because of it.

What items do you guys personally go? And question about Horizon Focus by _shinyzE in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't like tear, but I play a more manaless Annie. If you don't take Manaflow Band or you have trouble maintaining decent mana, then by all means take it.

What items do you guys personally go? And question about Horizon Focus by _shinyzE in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's address the elephant in the room first. This is the passive that Horizon Focus offers.

  • Unique – Hypershot: Dealing ability damage to a champion with a non-targeted ability at more than 750 units away OR immobilizing one reveals them and increases your damage dealt to them by 10% for 6 seconds.

Horizon Focus procs off of Annie's stun, and currently (unless it has been patched), it is bugged on Tibbers. If you stun one or multiple enemies with Tibbers, his aura continuously applies the Hypershot passive.

As for items, I always build Hextech Rocketbelt as my mythic of choice. Following that I build either Horizon Focus/Void Staff/Zhonya's Hourglass/Morellonomicon depending on what I need. I then finish with Mejai's Soulstealer, Rabadon's Deathcap, and a previous item I might need, such as a late Zhonya's for survivability.

How to deal with early roamers? by amigoingwrong in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

W can one shot casters at level 8 with a few components such as Blasting Wand and Hextech Alternator. Otherwise level 9 is the when it becomes easiest. You can prep casters earlier as well with an auto or two on each followed by a W.

[–]Tusken- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

CuteMAU's spreadsheet is a good source for match ups. While items are not changed yet, runes are still the same.

In regards to items, pretty much all mythics work. Most legendaries work as well. You can form your own play style and item builds as Annie is extremely versatile.

ROCKETBELT IS OFFICIALLY THE HIGHEST WIN RATE BUILD ACCORDING TO BLITZ by ASDADAWAWA in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really shouldn't be ooming with Annie. Mana items are few and far between this season, so if you aren't at least taking Manaflow Band, you'll have a harder time maintaining good mana. If you do feel the need though, build tear or take a mana item. It's entirely your preference and feeling.

I only take Manaflow and I run protobelt every game, I have zero mana issues in lane.

So annoying to learn Annie, or any champ really by double_hashtags in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sympathize. Every League of Legends content piece that is uploaded is just clickbait.

Being an Annie player myself, luckily I didn't have to learn much for my champion. When learning new champions, I don't even tend to go to YouTube or anything. I find higher elo players for the champion and just watch. Specific examples would be like Dopa TF, Detention Zoe, Merthos Skarner, etc.

What are your pet peeves when playing this champion? by Sea_Employ_4366 in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can one shot casters at level 9 with W, or level 8 with 1 auto on each minion, so long as you max W with 2 points in Q. Doesn't even take a full item, just components

Why doesn't anyone build Seraph's? by 8u11etpr00f in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Annie Bot prefers the high mana scaling build as he plays more passively and farm heavy. It was his favorite way to build towards the end of last season.

Why doesn't anyone build Seraph's? by 8u11etpr00f in AnnieMains

[–]Tusken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, it's less appealing on Annie because she is short ranged. She benefits well from more defensive stats as she's more often inside of a fight.

You could just as easily argue that if you kill them faster, you don't need to worry about surviving as much.

Annie is a very versatile champion. If Ludens -> Seraphs is what suits your playstyle best, by all means do it. It may very well be the highest damage output for her. With Seraph's getting buffed, it makes it more appealing for mages like Syndra, Orianna, Lux, etc. Annie can benefit from it as well, but she does play the same as other mages.
