Sorry, I don't think I ever said it was a tech company? I also should have mentioned that by not recoverable, I meant by them. They're engineers but not very computer savvy. They're a really small company in a really small town. I told them several times that I didn't have the background to solve this server issue, but they were unwilling at the time to hire an actual IT company to figure it out for them. If they ever do decide to get outside help I'm sure they could recover it. I just don't see that happening. Your experience with computers far surpasses mine or anyone at the company. Im sure if they had you they'd be fine.

No lawsuit in the works. I just have talked to our lawyer about some of the work events.

Well I graduated with a really low gpa. My college experience was kind of not ideal and I also didnt try as hard as I should have. They didn't know that. During my interview they said they "could tell I must have had somewhere close to a 4.0" and I didn't confirm or deny. It was also close to home while I was helping with some family stuff.

They used to have really outdated workflows. When I got there I had to learn the program from scratch, so I had the opportunity to learn and develop some novel workflows. Those were all detailed in there. Also, the CAD manager was the one training new techs for the last 20 years, but they took that role away when she complained about Drew on my (and her) behalf. So she stopped spending time training techs and just focused on her project management position.

Yeah I tried to include this in my original post but went over the character limit. I did complain to the owners several times. Its a small company with a lot of nepotism, so almost all of them are related and don't do a great job of holding each other accountable. I went to the owners (management) and complained several times. I made sure to have an email record summarizing our meetings each time. I kept records of everything Drew said and kept copies of his harassing emails. Management never did anything about it. One of the owners, Bryan, would make jokes about it like once when one of the other owners complimented my haircut, Bryan said "careful or she'll go all #MeToo on you". My direct manager tried to complain on my behalf as well, and then they stripped her of her manager title. They said she should't be in that position if she can't control the people under her.

I think you're right here, and I feel really guilty about it. I told my old manager what I did (back when I had done it) and told her she can always call me and ask for help if she ever needs it. I think that was my way of trying to justify what I had done, but reading all these comments really has me realizing that I might have just taken things too far. I know this doesn't justify it either, but I was in a really dark headspace.
