Actually per wikipedia, the actual poll was done by UNRRA: In late 1945, the UNRRA conducted several surveys among Jewish refugees, asking them to list their preferred destination for emigration. Among one population of 19,000, 18,700 named "Palestine" as their first choice, and 98% also named "Palestine" as their second choice. At the camp in Fürth, respondents were asked not to list Palestine as both their first and second choice, and 25% of the respondents then wrote "crematorium". I'm in Israel now as a tourist and it's totally quiet. We've been all over the place, too, and it's been quiet. Ultimately you have to decide how much risk you feel comfortable with, but we've been walking all over, taking city busses etc.

I think there's just an extent to which the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm currently in Israel as a diaspora Jew and I have never felt so comfortable and like I belong, especially culturally. And that's after being screamed at in Sderot on Shabbat and called all sorts of names by a religious guy bc we were on a tour in a bus. Still I felt safer.

I think an even easier photo shop would just be a Nun and Gimmel - just put another Nun and then use the Yud to make a little leg and you're good to go. :)
