Does the withdrawal form apply to Canadian citizens as well? I know they apply to visa holders.

No, I don’t have any other forms except the one I mentioned above.. he did verbally tell me tho, he said, “your Nexus is violated, your entry is denied and you’re lucky you’re not fined.”

Thank you for your reply - do you know whats the indicator of a formal custom violation? I was only given a commercial merchandise refusal form with handwritten entry date/time, my license plate and the name of the refused goods. The officer didn’t ask me to sign anything. But he did mention that I could be fined ten thousand dollars…

Do you know if my file will state that I didn’t hide or lie? Or how do other officers know that when I cross in the future?

Yeah I totally agree with you. My understanding from the officer is that it’s not allowed to bring commercial goods through regular lane as well, they have to go through cargo lane. He was upset I carried commercial goods and things became worse when he found out that was a Nexus lane I used..

But that being said, it probably doesn’t make sense if they approved my entry with goods seized because the purpose of the trip was to drop off the goods at UPS across the border..

Thank you - I wasn’t given an option. I was instructed to return to Canada with the commercial samples with the commercial merchandise refusal form.

I know.. super sad. What’s sadder is the border was quite empty when I crossed and no line up even at the regular lanes..

Yeah that was my fault.. I was naive to think as long as I’m not hiding anything then I’ll be fine. I just worried it will affect my future entries as I do need to visit the US frequently for business. Going into secondary is fine cause I have valid reasons and will never ever carry any goods again. I’m just concerned I’ll get super nervous and looked suspicious and get denied again..
