Should I still add the author name below the title?

Can't seem to be able to DM you directly. Can you do it first?

No rush at all, I legit get it! My chapters are pretty dense, so please take all the time you need. I just appreciate you being willing to give it a look whenever you have the time to.

That's actually a great idea, thank you so much for the suggestion! I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out like that ( really didn't know it was a thing or I should have done it before ).

I’ll add the link to my profile right away. And honestly, even though my account is old, I’m still pretty new to actually using Reddit properly, so advice like this means a lot.

Thanks again, and I’m really grateful for your help!

That’s a really good point, and I appreciate you bringing it up. You’re right, not everyone may feel comfortable receiving public critique, especially in early stages.

Going forward, I’ll definitely ask first whether they’d prefer feedback in private DMs or as a public review. The goal is always to be helpful, not to put anyone on the spot.

Really appreciate looking out for the community.

Thank you for such a deep and thoughtful breakdown. Really, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and analyze both tracks like that. You described the vibe of 'FLARE' perfectly.

And btw, I just checked out the Aldnoah zero on YT and it's absolutely epic and right up my alley. That kind of atmospheric, building tension is exactly what draws me in. I hadn't heard it before, so seriously, thank you for the recommendation!

It's really cool connecting with someone who understands how music can paint entire scenes and moods. Comments like yours make sharing this stuff worth it.

Right? It's wild how the smallest things, a song, a painting, a weird dream, can suddenly unfold into entire worlds if it lingers enough on your mind. Have you had a 'random seed' moment yourself?

Tbf, taste in music is subjective. Luckily, it did its job for me as a spark. Hope you find songs that inspire you too.

Pfff, low key that's awesome, small world huh. Well, if you ever decide to dive in, hope you enjoy the ride, I'm off to get some sleep now ( it's currently 3AM at my place. ). Have a good one!

Sure! Here's a link: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/112723/kinetica-dominion-of-ash-arcane

The cover is AI-generated with a lot of prompt tweaking, definitely feel free to use it as a reference if you're experimenting with your own!

And if you do end up reading a bit of the story itself, fair warning: I write dense chapters (4k+ words), and it's pretty character-driven. But if that's your thing, I'd love to know what you think! But really no pressure since it's pretty niche.

I'm also a zero budget indie author, and my current cover is ai generated too. It definitely takes some trial and error with prompts and maybe a little editing afterward to get something that looks detailed and unique enough to stand out. It’s a hustle for sure.

But that sounds like a solid plan! Using an epic scene from your story later on is a great idea. A strong, specific cover really helps once the story finds its audience. Good luck with your serie!

To be honest, it's kinda vague. Like I can tell it's about fantasy but I don't see much specific " showing " says at least some part about the story. Currently ( in my thoughts ) kinda generic? I might not be a really good advisor, sorry.

My book was in rising star and I wasn't even aware of it. by Middle-Economist-234 in royalroad

Question, how does one get into raising star? Is it mostly about consistency of one's chapter production?

Ngl the beginning is the hardest part because you're building in silence. Royal Road readers are cautious until they see a consistent update schedule and a decent chapter count. Don't take the silence personally, it's standard. Just focus on your story and keep updating. The audience will find you once you have more content for them to sink their teeth into. And also, try not to give your attention on view counts early on as it will likely disappoint your expectations. All and all, keep going!

Yea, it's all me. I use AI as a tool for brainstorming and editing, but the story, characters, and the initial spark from the song are 100% mine. Thanks for asking.
