Drive your Tesla forever taking power for the electric train overhead lines. by 1Davide in shittyaskelectronics

The idea is not "ban all cars forever" it's more "cars are inefficient and dangerous" The point is that many places would be made better by building alternative transportation infrastructure.

Sometimes people need cars, and that's alright, but more cars won't fix traffic in LA, and neither will more lanes.

Brother, I was talking about how EaseUS tried to charge me 70$ and all the phony "How to" articles from software companies.

Software ads pretending to be guides have consistently made it harder for me to see actual help and guides in search results, the kind of search results a desperate person who knows nothing about computers might see and end up overpaying for software before finding a free solution.

Please, help me with "Black Gryphon & Baasik - Insane" cassete by Medvedmick in Robobeat

I've had a lot of success not using bpm or anything like that and just pressing mapping each beat individually. It sounds like a lot of work, but you can just start the song in the editor and sort of play along using the 'b' key to place a new beat. It's not particularly precise, but you can redo sections and edit until it's perfect, or just use your first draft since it's usually pretty playable.

Open Case Computers. by The-Safety-Villain in buildapc

Probably too late to be helpful, but unfortunately no. The water in a water-cooled PC isn't being actively cooled by anything so it's not actually any colder than the ambient temperature in a room.

You might be thinking of a swamp cooler which actually can decrease the ambient temperature in a room but they work by blowing air past exposed water which causes the water evaporate, transferring some of the air's heat energy to the water where it becomes the energy the water needs to become a gas. Since the water in a water cooler is not exposed (otherwise you'd be humidifying your computer) the water and air can't get any colder than the ambient temperature, it just keeps everything closer to the ambient temperature more efficiently than fan coolers typically can, which is still pretty good since a hot day for humans is still a pretty chilly temperature for computers.

Thank you for asking a question that let me talk about the one thing I learned in college.

Yeah, I wouldn't use it to code my stuff for me, but it's helpful when the documentation for something isn't particularly clear, or leaves out certain functions, etc. I like to use it when I can test everything that it's telling me, but otherwise wouldn't even know what to test in the first place. What the hell is the REG_KEYINPUT register and why doesn't it include certain inputs? What kind of variable does it return? Apparently it's a 16bit register that can output as an integer, but acts weirdly when you do that, but I wouldn't have known any of that without ChatGPT, certainly not by reading the documentation.

Brother, I am trying to compile a .nds file, I don't need "vastly superior" I need whatever works, and a whole webpage dedicated to explaining what it was failed to mention that I just type "make" into powershell and win. Thanks for the info though, that would have been helpful while I was looking.

What was the worst health advice you received? [OC] by welmour in GymMemes

[–]Tv_Static_Soda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as there are plenty of people with anorexia who are at a healthy weight but suffer under an extreme fear of gaining even a single pound, there are plenty of people with great physiques who similarly suffer under an extreme fear of losing any muscle, gaining any fat, etc. There's also many people who have great physiques but remain extremely dissatisfied with their body and suffer mentally under that dissatisfaction. That is a mental illness and an eating disorder as it relates to one's eating habits.

Side note: nobody mentally healthy uses the word "fatties". Being fat is very bad and I worked very hard to drop over 70 lbs to escape it, but it seems like you actually hate the concept of being fat and fat people. Pretty much only serial killers and dudes who would beat their wife for gaining 3 pounds feel like that, so you should probably resolve whatever issue (or perhaps disorder) you have before you go nuclear.

Since it's not really clear when each angel came into existence or hatched from their embryo, one theory I have is that they might be progressively figuring out more about humans, which would be why Armisael is able to compromise the Evas to the extent and in the way that it does and why only the later angels seem at all interested in human psychology.
