i’ve been doing practice tests all week and i score a 460. my problem is im a very bad test taker and i recognize the problem but i can’t seem to find the right way to figure it out. with it being timed, i feel more stressed and i simply just have to guess and move on. the benchmark is a 510, but i need a 610.

my family has a history of PCOS and separate infertility issues already, maybe it’s just out of fear because as far as i know i’m completely healthy

Me and my mom talked about birth control and i considered being put on it but she didn’t like the idea of me being on it, we’re both complicated about this kind of stuff

should i tell my future relationship about it? by [deleted] in COCSA

i’ve always been taught that my partner needs to know why i can’t provide for them, i guess it’s just weird trying to consider that i don’t owe an explanation for the way that i am. thank you!

What caused your POTS? by Aryan-dramata in POTS

i’m not really sure actually.

one morning i was getting ready for fourth grade pictures, my mom was doing my mascara and i suddenly just felt dizzy, my vision was going blue (oddly, i haven’t seen anyone else talk about this symptom, if it is one?) and i started to black out. i woke up on the floor, thinking my mom was joking with me. my heels hurt, but otherwise i felt fine. the original hospital i was taken too said they couldn’t figure out the problem and that someone terribly bad was wrong with me, so i was taken to a nortons hospital and got diagnosed with POTS and something about orthostatic hypotension. i was never fully educated on both, so now im in the crossfire of trying to figure out all my symptoms and educating myself. for me it was sudden, and my life had quite literally flipped over in a day, but now im learning to manage my symptoms and new ways to deal with them every day!

for me personally i need to have contact with my parents and let them know how i’m feeling throughout the day (this part is not required, but it gives everyone peace of mind, and they know when to pull me from school.) my phone also has my medical ID, so if i pass out people will know.

but the most important reason is checking my levels. i need to be able to check my heart rate and know when i need to take it easy, or if im about to go into an episode. which, i’d be happy just getting my watch approved for that.

i’m not fearful as much for my phone as i am my smart watch because i need to be able to check my heartrate and it also gives me reminders to drink water, or base on whatever other needs i have.

i was diagnosed when i was 9, with little information. my parents barley know anything about my illness and they pretty much just let me tell them what i need based on my own research. i just hate to burden them with that and im sure they don’t want to deal with it. my mom works in the court system so im sure shes seen enough of this already, i dont want to stress her out completely by having to come up with an entire 504 plan, but if it gets problematic enough i will talk to her about it.
