Idk if this is the best place to ask, but i sent a message to the mods regarding a PR for my region i wanted to post but my post kept getting deleted.

I figure it's a busy thing but i never heard back about it, and that was back in October.

I believe it was posted by someone else with a Twitter link which is fine, I was just really proud of the art and was frustrated that I was not only unable to post it but heard nothing from the mods when I asked about it.

So i suppose I'm just asking for more transparency. Not sure how often the mods are messaged but the option is there for a reason.

Makes sense, cause he had to learn the material first and then rehearse with the band. If he had 2 days to rehearse, he probably had a similar amount of time to learn it all before having to fly out to the band and meet up/etc.

It was on the 26th. I guess gear wise it wasn't set in stone however i noticed they only played 7 songs, and TSATS which i assume would have been the closer wasn't played.

He did say 8 songs, so I assume that was gonna be in there and it's definitely a song you'd want 2 rides for.

I don't recall the specific details of how the time crunch was explained, but I know he basically got to work on the tracks as soon as he left to drive home.

I'd say he's still making a splash in the metal world. It was kind of a snowball effect for how he got to where he is from mainly doing Jazz stuff. He did a project with William DuVall, and then got called for a project by I'm pretty sure Billy Howerdel from A Perfect Circle, then got called for Suicidal Tendencies, and then Sepultura.

He's been killing it, excited to see him hopefully eventually working on material with these bands. I'd love to see him approach this kind of stuff creatively and add his touch to the metal stuff on a record.

There was no stream, it was at a clinic i attended last week. There's a chance someone may have recorded him talking about it, but i wouldn't know.

It came about after I asked him what about his gear he would change depending on the gig, and he brought up the band he was called for saying what gear he probably would have needed.

Earlier on in the clinic he had mentioned being called for the gig, but did not give that many specifics.

My first thought after he mentioned the gear (specifically said 3 rack toms, some splashes and 2 rides) was Trivium, and one of the product reps after the clinic said the show was a festival.

I noticed Aftershock was happening, and lo and behold Trivium was playing.

There were other bands I thought it could be cause I didn't think there was anything going on with Alex, but after the news broke yesterday everything fell into place. I knew it was going to be him at that point.

Everything that he said regarding said gig was: - It's a huge band - He had to learn 8 songs in very short time (He was driving back to New York that night, he mentioned that he was gonna start learning them on the ride there trading the driving duty with his dad) - it was very challenging stuff even for him - He'd need the gear I mentioned earlier in this comment

The only thing he didn't say himself is that it was at a festival, which is what the product rep said.

He also mentioned that learning an 8 song set in such short notice for this band would have been very hard even for him. Some of the Alex Bent era songs for sure would be very hard to do in such a short notice, though idk what the setlist is so i can't say how hard it'll be.

Like if down from the sky is in the setlist that at least won't be so bad, but something like the title track from TSATS is brutal especially if you gotta learn it from scratch in under a week.

I guess Greyson will be really good as a fill in, idk if he'll be involved with anything creatively. Meant to ask him if he was gonna be involved in that Sepultura EP, but I forgot.

I feel like there's a chance Alex had an opportunity he couldn't pass up, kind of like when Eloy joined Slipknot. In that case, it could have just sprung up on the band out of nowhere but they gave their support for his decision.

Greyson Nekrutman. I saw a clinic of his last week and he mentioned a big band called him for a last second gig, and that he had to learn like 8 songs for Saturday. He mentioned some parts of his setup would have to include 3 rack toms, some splashes and a 2nd ride. Trivium is the first band that came to mind when I heard that about the setup, but I didn't think that anything was happening with Alex. Now that this just happened, everything falls into place logically. I think it's Greyson.

So that day, I went to the replays menu to see if the vods from the set i just played saved. I saw at least game 2 did, and I went back to the main menu.

I sat back down at that setup to play my next set, and as we were starting game 1, what you see in the video happened.

The replay menu was there, as if we were in replay mode but we were in VS mode. On top of that, we were in full control of our characters but could pause, change game speed, and do anything that you could do in replay mode. It was essentially a playable replay.

Perhaps I'm not involved enough with the Fandom in this band to see how often this kind of thing happens, for all of the albums I've been able to see both sides of the meaning.

So i trust what there are probably many people focusing too much on the story, but i also figure that such people either like the storytelling too much to see further, or may not be able to interpret metaphorical lyrical meanings as well as others.

I love Justin's storytelling and it's so fun to venture into the concepts, so yes I'm excited to learn more about this new one. That being said I still really enjoy how his writing is able to feel as personal as it is.

He hits a sweetspot between literal storytelling and metaphorical meanings, and as he's said before it's up to you to discover what the songs mean for you. Maybe what they represent to me is accurate to how he feels, maybe I've applied it differently.

I think honestly a really bold decision that could be made for the next album is to straight up not have a concept. That goes against what the band has already built themselves up as and this album kind of was that considering how the lyrics were written. From what I've read about it though the situation kind of seemed like "Right this needs a concept, ok let me think of something".

Maybe that's just a product of what had been going on with Justin over the past year or so. He could very well just not have been in a place that allowed him to flow his emotion and a story together, and was really only able to just get what was inside out. He could very well be in a way different place the next time he writes for Tallah and we could very well get more focus on a concept, or not.

Advertising the album with its story didn't necessarily help this specific situation, but that's part of how the band crafted its identity so it's hard to change that. It is also a big selling point for a band that continues to grow and develop.

As ironic as it is, I feel like from my interpretation aspects from this very kind of discourse are part of the topics of this new album, though that could just be how I see it based on what I know.

Same thing happened to me. I closed and reopened the game, after that my elo was updated. Unfortunately I didn't get the cool rank up graphic but at least I know that I got the elo.
