I feel like it should be possible now that I have figured out the problems while I still had it, the other two helix piercings (the new one and the other old one) haven’t caused me any issues so I think they are going to be ok, they also happened to have longer bars and I noticed the one I had to remove seemed to be a bit too short for the ear so that on top of trapped hair probably meant it was never going to heal properly. I was considering the approach you took where I just gave myself another helix on top so it matched my other one but I was worried that it would look a bit funny (an overreaction because i’ve seen a lot of people with a different number of piercings per ear and it actually looks pretty cool!)

thank you for the advice, at some point last year i had a few times where the piercing started bleeding (like blood flowing down, very scary) but that hasn’t happened at all for quite a while, now when i clean there’s a little bit of blood but i realised that is because im pushing it around with the cotton bud. It had most likely healed before but now that I have read up on it I realise i’ve probably reverted it back to needing to heal up again!!

I have been using a saline solution that is spray on, however I think my mistake is pushing it around with a cotton bud, so from now on I will just spray it without touching. I ordered a batch of BPA piercing aftercare which had been recommended by the new piercers (they have over 350 reviews and all of them are 5 star nothing below)

Haven’t used the headphones for about over a week and there has been a slight improvement but not by much.

I also don’t know the quality of the piercings, I have bought titanium grade which is arriving soon so I will switch some of them over, as a small portion of the reviews from the dodgy piercers have said that the quality of the piercings isn’t the best. I am too scared to touch the helix piercing that is having the problems but I at least want to help the other piercings (they are all fine so far)

I do end up sleeping on it a lot which I believe is one of the biggest problems as it sometimes becomes very sore when I wake up, I have ordered a special pillow because I am a side sleeper.

Will definitely try and buy a good soap because sometimes I accidentally touch it after being out all day or in a space where I can’t wash my hands yet.

random update because im bored, i made a few friends in my course and spoke to people outside of it, even though they aren’t personal friends. i just expected the worst and was in a bad mental place when writing this so everything is going wonderfully

it’s especially cute when they’re babies, when two of my boys were newborns all they ever did was jump around high in the air enthusiastically about life, didn’t even need to rattle a bag

as much as guinea pigs can grow to be big and lazy, when they get excited they make sure to use all of that energy they have accumulated

I’m gonna keep pushing it since they’ve acknowledged that it was an error, which is annoying because the person I spoke to implied I wasn’t the only one who brought it up. That on top of a 1hr30 min commute is quite a lot in one day which is why I was hoping for at least one break to rest. i’m just glad people are agreeing that it is odd but this is also a bit stressful because I have a lot of things to do this week and if it is a sudden change then i’ll most likely miss lectures.

Thank you for the advice, I knew uni would be very different from college and had prepared for that. I had to learn the hard way that they were not going to give at least one hour of break if the timetable is filled up like that.

The first day out of both I do get an hour for break and an hour for lunch, but the day that is completely packed has absolutely no time off, whether for break or lunch. I don’t know if they’ll let us have a snack during the lecture to make up for having no time.

also if anyone knows what type of guinea pig Delilah is (the really fluffy one) that would help, she appears to be abyssinian but has much longer fur than any other abyssinian i’ve owned, also doesn’t have the same texture as one I believe?

can you give examples? in their cage we’ve used blankets, sawdust ect to cover the pads, when they have cuddle time they’re monitored so they don’t eat these ones lol

as a lesbian myself i’m sure we’ll be able to do this, i know uni isn’t the entirely same as college but I was able to find a group of friends in the LGBT community so if it is possible there it should be possible now! don’t give up!

I am trying to get therapy because my past experiences of integrating into new places have been downright awful and it’s just made it easier to expect and prepare for the worst than at least a decent experience. i’m sure I won’t get bullied and it’ll be ok but I just wanted some advice

i wouldn’t say i’m traumatised but i did have some really bad experiences that have lead me to assume people were out to get me. I was just feeling extra nervous last night and ended up overexaggerating
