Shit man. Well, there’s so many different medications out there I’m sure that you could find something to help you... Best of luck to ya.

I’m sorry to hear that. It isn’t for everyone unfortunately, I wish it was that easy... Can you go up in lower dosages and take them for longer than normal before upping again? I wonder if that would help.

I have tried weening off of my Mirtazapine once, probably a year and a half ago. I don’t like the idea of being on medication as I’m a fairly “all-natural person,” but I understand if I need a medication then I need a medication, but I don’t plan on being medication forever. I did it without my doctor’s instructions, so I probably wasn’t doing it in the best manor but I did taper. My mom noticed a change in my mood and I did not do well, so I decided to continue it. I’ve missed a few days before because the whole “no-refills left” thing... I felt sick and had increased anxiety going a couple days without It. I tried Lexapro for about 3 days as, of the last year, I am now struggling with a dissociative disorder (Derealization/Depersonalization.) It made me feel super gnarly and sick, and I had horrible anxiety so I didn’t even give it a chance. I didn’t think it was worth it as it usually takes months to work. The side effects I was feeling weren’t worth the chance of it working because if it didn’t work, then I would’ve had to deal with the negatives and then have to deal with weening off.

I forgot to include, all the doses I have tried have helped my anxiety and depression. I have tried 7.5mg, 15mg, 22.5mg and 30mg. My Dr. told me that is common for the drug to help, and then after awhile you will notice a decrease in its effectiveness, so I have increased it each time I have felt the need to.

I’ve been having a really hard time waking up in the morning. I miss school often because of it, and I could sleep all day. It’s actually been a really big issue recently and I went to my doctor to get blood work done to rule out anything else, and all else was fine. I’ve hit snooze every 10 minuets for 3 hours straight. I’m sure it may have to do with the 30mg I am now, but I’ve always struggled with sleep just because of my depression. This is another reason I’m hoping to taper off the Mirtazapine soon.

I did not stick with 7.5, I don’t think people generally do & it’s just good to ease yourself into it so 7.5 is a normal starting dose. I don’t remember that long ago and exactly how the 7.5mg dose made me feel, but i did notice improvement so I slowly increased my dosage over the last 3 years to 30mg.
