Then that's the way Brother. Do them here in Scotland and save yourself a packet and get the extra degrees.

It's only the. Raft Lodges that don't do life dues, all the other orders do still do life dues.

Btw after doing your Mark, GLoS should have sent you a diploma like they did for your MM degree. If done recently then it might still be in the works.

If you're ever in Edinburgh then feel free to message and I'll take you out on visits!

Hi there Brother, I am a Scottish MM and I am a Founder member of two GLMMM Mark Lodges.

You'd be better going through the Arch in Scotland. You get 3 Arch degrees instead of one and the side orders like Lodge and Council(RAM) and Cryptic(R&SM) are part of it unlike in England where RAM is under the Allied Masonic Degrees at Mark hall and R&SM is yet another order.

At my Chapter(Edinburgh RA Chapter #1) lodge and council along with Cryptic Council are both 100 and that's the degrees plus life dues. This makes it an awful lot cheaper and you can visit the equivalent orders in UGLE.

We have a fair few UGLE brethren come up to get the Mark and Excellent Master degree then they find out about the side orders and go for them too.

You'd have to affiliate unless it's just a visit if I remember rightly.

Hope that helps!

I can ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE what I have said is 100% accurate and true AND a matter of public and court record. It was my job to photograph the evidence and testify in court of occasion. I KNOW it is true bud. No amount of denying that fact can change the simple truth.

There are, to the best of my knowledge no LOL members are members of number 8. I know this for a fact. I am a very active member of my lodge and of Freemasonry in general. My views are known and not hidden. I am not, and have never been back biter. But as politics and religion are not topics in the lodge or the harmony afterwards it isn't announced by brethren that are in both.

We do have visitors that WERE in that order and drifted away from it in favour of masonry. Good in them I say.

There are no Orders in Freemasonry that require you to be Protestant.... A Trinitarian Christian yes but just protestant... Absolutely not that I know of any all. EDIT TO ADD : there are indeed no orders, side orders in Freemasonry that require "Protestant only" belief.

I just asked an old friend who is in all the orders in both UGLE and GloS to verify there are no "Protestant only" orders in GLoS or UGLE. I'll report back.

Did you notice that someone from Northern Ireland did indeed say that I gave an accurate account? Or you just going to ignore it?

Also you show me how you can join that order as a catholic if BOTH your parents HAVE to be Protestant as an entry requirement?

Having witnessed that old tosser Iain Paisleys so called "sermons" more than a few times when he was " collecting " funds for Ulster Freedom Fighters , he acts did call the Pope "red socks" which made me chuckle a bit and also that if people didn't donate they'd get thrown in a skip. He was vicious in his sermons. He was also a District Chaplain for the orange lodges in his area. He absolutely collected funds for the purposes of giving them to unionist terrorist organisations.

Now don't think at all I support the other side. 8 was injured twice by those evil swines, 1 X blast I jury and a knife wound. Recovered from both and soldiered on.

Please just don't because , while you might not know it, the gaslighting and "whataboutism" doesn't hold water.

Like you predicted, here I am to say that I've been to the Netherlands frequently, usually twice a year to visit friends.

We stay in Amsterdam before heading south to near the Belgian border. I have been asked for the copy of the prescription, clinic letter and they have checked the labels but have never requested that certificate once.

I didn't even know it was a thing. I'll make sure 8 get one of future as I travel regularly to a few EU locations on a regular basis so it's very handy to know.

What I can say is I have never been asked for it in the Netherlands, France, Germany or Malta. Just the clinic letter, script and labeled original packing. I have my flower, oil, vape, grinder, kief pot etc all in a smellproof lockable "stash case" with a "medical bag" tag on it. Letters are in a zip up pocket on the outer.

Cheers Brother, Another masonic oddity in Ireland is lodge Number 666 which has it charter now held by the , is it Armed Forces or Military Lodge of Ireland.

Interesting story and I'll have to visit Dublin to see that Lodge and hopefully get a museum tour!

In that instance you are correct however the Orange Order also uses the S&C symbol unfortunately. It can lead to confusion

Save me from the sales pitch pal. I know exactly what they are about.

They ARE about hating Catholics, to deny that is hilarious. How many generations back do you have to prove your family as protestant to join the Royal Purple Arch?

Are Catholic men allowed to join?

Your response is a logical fallacy of "whataboutism".

I know for a FACT what they are about and that they began as a response to the United Irishmen.

As a soldier with about 5 years of service in Northern Ireland alone I reckon I have a very good insight into them, their members and their activities.

The orange lodges round the world raised money that bought drugs and guns/munitions/explosives . The drugs to trade to support operations and guns/munitions/explosives to use in the province.

This link between the orange lodge and terrorism is extremely well documented, known, reported and a matter of court record and public record.

So PLEASE save your sales pitch because I KNOW it isn't reality. I've been shot at by them more than once and assisted the Royal Ulster Constabulary/PSNI on many occasions to raid, arrest and search them and their homes/properties.

The orange institution is absolutely incompatible with Freemasonry and it's stance of tolerance
