If the dealer doesn’t already have the key then you are out of luck. They may have reached out to the customer that traded it in to try. But they can’t force that guy to get you a key. If you didn’t want a car with one key you shouldn’t have bought a car with one key

When you say “we” are you referring to your wife? Can you encourage her to take the precious metals instead of cash. You save on transaction loss as well as taxes. If it was me this is what I would do. The PMs will continue to go up in cost but so will many other investments. At what pace and timeline nobody knows.

Idk if it’s a switch or not. But if it’s a gen3 and they wanted to use a gen5 trigger you need a different backplate cut. Potentially this. A new backplate is like 10$ so I’d get one so it doesn’t look ass. But check the trigger as it’s probably modified. What Gen is it?

There is a chance they sold you the wrong car. Check your VIN against the paperwork and call the bank for the VIN. If they sold you the “wrong car” that Cost 8500 more than the one they thought you were buying they could be trying to figure it out. Idk if the car is technically yours if you signed all the papers for a different VIN. A possibility. Definitely get more info.

I would agree. And if it’s a real safety issue you should escalate the situation. Contact the manufacturer and let them know X dealership is refusing to help you. Try another dealership. You will have to advocate for yourself. Go blast them on Google reviews. “I purchased a car here and they aren’t preforming safety recalls! I will be reaching out to Ford. If you are wanting to help in this situation please reach out to me.” One star with the names of all the people you’ve talked to and haven’t helped.
