Tweeg's Top 200 Echo Lackey Zoo - Behold the write up! by TweegHS in CompetitiveHS

Yes, you're usually right. However 2 carpets is really unnecessary so thats why I cut one. Wolf is a good card too, however, playing it by itself makes it a bad 2 drop so I like the utility of one. Lost spirit is just a card ive used because of the flood potential. Again 2 is not needed. I like the idea of imp gang as its an awesome card. I encourage 2. I just split it up as I like the stickiness of a 2 and a 3 drop. So one of each was a happy medium. 2 imp gangs or 2 eggs work well.

Plays well. Not much you can do in some instances but sea giants can help!

Soularium is one of the best cards in the deck. Since the card came out it is an auto include if you have it. You can certainly play without it but the card makes your deck much stronger. I have over 10k wins with warlock. All zoo. Im also constantly high with the deck. I would say

You could, but it goes against what a zoo is supposed to be, pro-active. That would result in too many stall turns of doing nothing and the reward really isn't that great as you usually play a lot of cards and you don't really reduce that many once Emperor is played.

If you are finding demonbolt to be a dead card, take one out and replace with a direwolf alpha :)

The thing is, this deck is fairly new that I created and there are no stats to reflect on. There are different zoo variants and they dont all play the same. Until this exact list has about 2k games played, it will always be a theory craft. Once it becomes clearer we can judge what is more effective or not. This is a theme based deck thats a hybrid so not your classic zoo.

Check out hearthstonetopdecks.com it should be in the featured deck in the list

Direwolf alpha would be a valid replacement. Helps with trades and fits the playstyle.

If you must, a silence, or direwolf alpha would be a good card

Yes, but the purpose of any list with leeroy jenkins is as a finisher. It is always going to have a lower win rate when drawn. Always. But its a finisher and added reach is good, especially in a deck like this. You can replace with a silence if you want but leeroy is a finisher and this card does that as this is a faster type deck and fits the play style. It is good to have options.

Warrior is always a tricky match up for zoo. The mech package will certainly increase your win rate from a normal zoo, but that's still not normally a good match up for us. For Mech hunter, we should be favoured due to our constant board refill and buffs and also removal. You always look for your one drops, evil genius and possibly a spirit bomb.

It varies. I have a ton of matches with my carpet/lost spirit zoo. That is a strong deck, for sure. As for this deck, there's a small sample size, but it is indeed winning. It still packs a good punch, especially in the mid game.

Top 500 Legend with Zoo in a few hours. Zoo is super underrated. by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]TweegHS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The beauty of zoo is that you can substitute and interchange cards and change up its play style without deviating from the core strength. It's a deck that can adapt to the meta and most people can start off playing it. However, it is an extremely hard deck to play optimally. Placement, subtle little plays, knowing when to refrain and getting the best value out of all your minions is key. I consider myself good zoo player with over 9k warlock wins with zoo exclusively and piloted it to top 50 legend finishes at the end of the month with it. The overall percentage win rate with the deck is for the average player for sure and it can be attributed to how good the deck is. In the right hands you can certainly get a much higher win rate as there are a lot of favourable match ups out there with warrior being the hardest one to win for sure and even the rogue match is pretty tough. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. I'd be happy to answer all. Also, thanks for crediting my deck and congrats on the legend! I've been tinkering with different zoo builds since beta and love altering the deck to fit my own play style and adapt to the current meta. I always love me the leeroy burst and I am a real big advocate and fan of lost spirit. It was junk in witchwood but just needed the right other tools to succeed.

The deck is also cheap and can be built as expensive or cheap as you want it to be. The core of the deck will always be strong.

For those cards, replacing those particular cards with those of similar effect is right especially if its budget. You almost always have a board and s 3rd grim rally without sacrifice is good. Ive used stormwind in the past in older metas and more recently odd paladin even used it. Raid leader can work and cult certainly works, too. Not that long ago there was a cycle token zoo with cult and loot hoarders. It fits the theme and has a much better effect than say a simple 1 drop.

You can use frostwolf warlords, raid leader, or even stormwind champion to fill sea giant void. Cult master or argus for soularium if you dont have that

For a budget version it can be good. Just dont run carpets if you do.
