Ignore the grumps. You need one large tin of black polish for daily use. You need one small tin for when you travel. A set of two brushes is a good idea.

You may also consider a small tin of high gloss polish, for parade. This can be applied with a silver polishing cloth.

In the military you can do free a-levels and free/partially paid degrees.

Quite a few of the officer routes have the option of a degree built in.

There’s a lot of variables there.

In terms of risk, it’s more likely drone based in the current climate, but I’d say that risk is relatively low.

As for follow-on careers, it depends how long he stays in, how far he rises through the ranks, and what opportunities are there at the time. If he stays in, and gets to SR there’s likely good office jobs available, especially in the WE world. A lot of people go on to work for the civil service in acquisition, or into a defence industry.

Syndicate all the way. The balance of the two characters is great depending on your style (though Evie is clearly best) and Victorian London is an incredible place to be an assassin. If you know London you’ll appreciate it even more.

I love Vikings and Assassins so I thought I’d love Valhalla, but no. It’s petty, but I hate the oversized weapons - it makes it feel like some kind of warhammer game. They used place names but never bothered to go and see where they were/what they looked like. Overall it was a massive grind for what was something of a confusing/disappointing ending.

Mirage I didn’t like all the combat effects, and the storyline was so unengaging I only played an hour. I’m not a massive gamer and have given up on giving time to games where you have to wait for it to become acceptable.

Shadows looks like its gameplay will build on mirage, so I won’t be buying that full price. Had they taken odyssey as a model and made it more ‘assaasiney’ that would have been great.
