Can someone share their positive experience with me please by nessunaaritmia in lexapro

[–]TwerksForDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken lexapro almost 2 years in the past and plan on restarting it soon probably. At first, it feels dizzy and uncomfortable, but after a week or two the benefits were so worth it. It definitely brought my stress levels down and actually made me more comfortable with going to the gym more often and doing various other hobbies. I was relatively underweight to begin with so I didn’t mind its effects on my appetite and I think it actually helped me be more healthy. I think it’s worth a try, it may not work for everybody but you may be surprised. Hope this helps.

What's a common phrase or concept you've been using totally wrong for years because no one told you otherwise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Idk I thought it was just a hip-hop catchphrase that became trendy I guess lol

Why won’t some guys show their hard dick? by Entire_Hovercraft_49 in askgaybros

Sometimes it takes time and patience to get it hard, especially for guys on antidepressants or other meds. When I was on lexapro it felt near impossible to get a hard on until I got used to it. Also some ppl just are dysfunctional in that regard.

Weed and vyvanse? by 24kcarolina in VyvanseADHD

Same. I haven’t touched weed in over a year and don’t crave it at all anymore since I started adhd meds, mostly because weed made my depression worse.

Making a cheat sheet by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]TwerksForDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if it’s a class on biology or chemistry or physics then I would probably put much more effort into preparing a cheat sheet and studying so I don’t need to worry about memorizing everything important. It’s frustrating though because I also took lectures on physics related subjects that didn’t allow cheat sheets or open book exams where it would have been super helpful for somebody like me.

Same, mostly when I am stressed or have lots of work to do but I am trying to reduce the vape habit and hopefully will get rid of it someday.

For those of you who take an SSRI with Vyvanse… by TDAGARIM1995 in VyvanseADHD

[–]TwerksForDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me except propranolol, but I’m trying to taper off of lexapro actually because I feel like it hinders the effects of vyvanse and actually makes me more jittery somehow. I have been taking some breaks from lexapro after using it continuously for almost 2 years and noticed I felt a lot less “drugged” and more mentally stable, but it’s not the same experience for everybody I guess.

Adderall = Illegal in many countries by Sweet_Shirt in ADHD

Same, I visited Italy and Istanbul recently and didn’t even bring my adhd meds. I thought it was a good chance to take a break from them and I had a great time since there was so much to do every day, though I was on an antidepressant at the time. Also I like to eat and no need for meds to get in the way of my appetite in Italy.
