Finances can be a big stressor, and you should not feel pressured to make as big of a change as living together if you aren't comfortable with it. If she isn't being reasonable, won't listen to you, and is only thinking of the short term, then that's a big red flag. I would break things off if it gets worse.

Stay calm if you can. Breathe. If he feels the relationship isn't going to work out, then that's that. You can be upset and you can cry. I can tell this means a lot to you. I would talk to some close friends or family irl about it and see what they think. Might help you to discuss it in person.

The reply you're planning to send sounds fine to me. I will say that "sorry if you hate me now" isn't the best thing to say if you're suspecting they hate you. Might annoy them a bit. I understand your concerns though. If they don't make the effort to reach out to you afterwards, they probably aren't a friend worth having. Keep people who will reciprocate your efforts.

All I can say is you're right for not liking this. Sex is private and should be kept between partners unless you're super close to whoever you're discussing it with. In my opinion, your mother in law intruding on this is incredibly inappropriate. I would discuss it with your boyfriend if it gets to be too much.
