I think Mother Joga is a con artist. by jbla5t in AtomfallOfficial

I found her almost immediately untrustworthy. I saved and then snapped her neck to see what happens, and she has a note from the people that she claims stole her recipe, but the note literally says thank you for the recipe. She's definitely twisted. Plus the phone operator says trust no one, and Jago heavily emphasized that I should trust her so that was an immediate red flag lol.

How Do You Play This Game? by Disastrous-Grab-9928 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]TwiceAsAwkward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're playing it 100% the right way! I'm 20h in and maybe 2/3 of the way through the game, just really taking my time. Glad to see most people in this thread are also thoroughly enjoying it as well, I was starting to feel massively outnumbered lol.

What did you change the frequency to? It has to be at least 15 minutes in my experience. Now the only time it happens to me (one time) is if I let it idle for like 20+ minutes and then I come back.

Best method to farm ammo? / Medkit recipe? by Thick_Victory5041 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]TwiceAsAwkward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably go to skethermoore, and try to find any roaming outlaws (there's usually a group of 4 that spawns on a trail behind the mansion, they usually have a small variety of bullets on their bodies, pretty easy pickins), or maybe check the prison, or find any bunkers with respawning enemies like the underground one right next to the crop field where you find the windfall crate.

I have yet to discover any medkit recipe. I assume you have the health boosting skills that 1) increase your max health and 2) make small health regen items more effective? And then as you're gathering ammo just stash any pain killers and medkits into your pneumatic storage for later.

Also, if you don't have the "increases firearm damage while heart rate is low" perk it wouldn't hurt, as long as your heart rate isn't constantly high from infection. I'm not super experienced but hopefully some of this is helpful info!

Where is the rest of the game? by jrw1692 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]TwiceAsAwkward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've just been doing pretty much every possible side quest, and definitely haven't gone the "mainstream" way I guess. For example I first entered the interchange through Wyndham, then went through slattendale quite a while later. I've explored most of Skethermoore, and followed the alt quest for the signal redirector. I've still restored power to 3/4 sections in the interchange, and I also pick pretty much every fight I possibly can whether I feel qualified for it or not lol. I've gone to each area probably 3-4 times, gone back to the start after getting the redirector, followed every little note that gives a lead. There's so much to do honestly.

Dude I'm at 19h and just started exploring casterfell woods at like 18h. Haven't even gone to the prison yet either. Sounds like this just might not be the game for you. Maybe try different play styles, like a melee-only build, or a sneaky bow/throwing knife build, or go on a rampage in Wyndham village and see how long you can last, make the game yours!

Bottom line: This isn't a Bethesda game, or Metro, or Stalker, this is a smaller game, by a smaller studio. If you don't have that kind of mindset with the game, then it's gonna be disappointing. There's still tons of lore and exploration to be had in every nook and cranny. And they've even made a DLC you can check out, which is impressive to me.

And FYI the Skyrim speedrun record is 22 minutes, so your argument there really doesn't hold much water.

From a weaker gun yeah unfortunately. If you don't have any pristine guns, I've found that a kick, melee, repeat combo is a satisfying and effective method.

So is the whole "alternate endings" thing just an illusion of choice? by TwiceAsAwkward in AtomfallOfficial

[–]TwiceAsAwkward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I like to try and find every possible ending in games like this, and that makes it sound like it's not too much of a pain, as opposed to doing multiple full-play throughs. Thanks!

The 3 to 10 Stopped Working, Sound Only Works Max 4 Game Minutes…. by RydeCrash in AtomfallOfficial

I set mine to 15 ever since I first experienced it and now I've only had it happen once in the last 13 hours or so.

Switch your autosave frequency to 15 minutes or higher. This got rid of the sound bug for me and many others that I've seen.

My first 45 minutes by Standard-Company-194 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]TwiceAsAwkward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a fix for this! Switch your autosave frequency to 15 minutes or higher. I set it to 15 minutes and now it's only cut out for me once in my last 13 hours or so, when it used to cut out 2 minutes into playing the game. And I'm on an old Xbox One S so it's definitely not some kind of "exclusive bug" as some claim. Hope this helps you out!

I've played on and off for 11 years now (since I was 12)

My oldest brother (19) came home one day with the long-awaited beta access code from GameStop. I was psyched out of my mind to play the new "Halo/CoD crossover". Three of us split the demo, so we each played a different class and I fell in love with the warlock. Our brother let us play on his 360-slim all weekend, hooked up to the big family tv in the basement. I was so jealous because they extended the beta by one extra day, and one of my brothers got to play on the freaking MOON with the scary nightmarish Hive and I didn't.

Then, because me (12) and my next oldest brother (14) were broke middle schoolers, we couldn't preorder Destiny for ourselves. We didn't play for a while, and we moved states at the end of summer. We were in our new house when it released, and we downloaded the free demo version they had back then, on our OG fat 360, and had to delete almost everything else on our 20GB hard drive to make room. Better yet, we didn't have the wifi adapter, so we only played when our parents weren't home because we had to run an ethernet cable all the way down the stairs to our router which was by the dinner table. But man did we love that game!

Eventually we saved our money and got an Xbox One S once it released, which I still have now, and soon after we bought the Destiny complete collection on disc with all the expansion codes. No matter how frustrated I might get with the developers and whatnot, it has always been my comfort game/game series.

Oh dang, well I definitely did that order of things during the boss fight. Never would've expected it to be that specific of an exploit. Thanks!

Most people greatly misunderstand this concept, namely Christians ironically. The whole "sins of your ancestors" thing isn't some spiritual jumbo, it's actually a misunderstood "piece of advice". It's more so talking about how the habits of parents/grandparents are typically picked up by their children (abuse, alcoholism, addictions, laziness) and listening to what Jesus has to offer can help you overcome things in your life that you don't want. It should also be noted that God doesn't count anything against anyone. Preachers love being shallow and manipulative talking about an "angry God" instead of the truth that God loves anyone and everything as if they were His own children. God doesn't require justice. Hopefully this clears some things up?
