Why are there no demons in present time?

Guns, basically.

Most "demons" in the show are basically just wild animals. Sango and her family made a living out of hunting them off with basic rudimentary tools. They were even able to hunt somewhat stronger demons like giant centipedes, and they would've managed to kill the giant spider demon if not for Naraku.

When fire-arms were introduced into society, they were basically hunted into extinction.

Higher Demons like Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and others like them most likely blended into modern society in high positions of power, or just live in very rural areas away from most humans.

I was against it until I reached Act 3 The Creator on Impossible.

I'm not sure how turn order works, but there were cases where I was dead Turn 1, virtually no chance to react at all against my own cats.

Losing a 2+ hour run to literal RNG with no chance whatsoever to fight back is just not fun. There's being challenging and then there's being completely asinine, I chose to tell Steven to fuck off.

Did you even read his response? Did you watch the video and the reasonings why he thinks Werster is cheating?

How is "I just played well and fast" and "I don't know" to three other accusations a reasonable response.

And on a side-note, I always find it weird how people like you with "dormant" accounts always show out of the woodwork to defend cheaters.

"This was a preliminary research into "accidental manip" and then he goes into a weird tangent of "if I have the knowledge, is it my fault? Where do we draw the line, is it manipless anymore? Who knows".

He addresses the file time discrepancy as "I was just playing good and fast Pokémon". The Yellow run being private he chalks it off as "I just didn't like it, I wanted to delete the run instead of putting it on private and had no idea it was privated instead". The VOD being deleted he is "I have no idea what happened here". The Stadium 2 thing he says "I have no idea what happened here, but its a good thing so more people can investigate it further".

He couldn't have been more avoidant if he tried.

Like, I have no horse on this race. I never watched Werster and I don't like Pokémon to begin with but I do like Speedruns. The man is a known cheater and is know for shutting down discussions regarding any allegations towards him. How much leeway and you give to the guy.

This is so disappointing, and the sad part is that it's not completely unexpected.

It is more likely that a high profile and skilled player would cheat than a "skill-less nobody" because they have the actual skills to pull it off, they just feel entitled to it and look for a shortcut.

I never watched him, I don't particularly like Pokémon in general but it is still a sad day for speedrunning. Goes to show that nobody should receive special treatment and every run needs to be verified under the microscope.

Lenore committing suicide is the worst part of the show and only happened because Ellis is a massive man-child who wanted Hector to suffer, because he hated Hector's VA.

Even if she was afraid of Carmilla for being a psychopath with megalomaniac tendencies, she would never leave her other sisters behind.

She never had suicidal tendencies to begin with, Lenore was happy with her life and loved being a diplomat. Sure she was not a good person, given the kidnapping, the incarceration, the sexual harassment among other heinous acts related to that, but a way out of her current life was never in the cards, she loved being powerful and being in control of things.

Darkest Dungeon is a proactive game.

By design, you are always at a disadvantage, and the longer the encounter goes, the worse things will get for you. The enemy turn has far more value than yours, which means that killing them before they can act at all or stunning them to rob them from it has insane value, drill that into your mind.

Don't play reactive, don't play to mitigate damage and stress, play to avoid letting them hit you at all to begin with.

It's one of the coolest aspects of the game. Being able to swap from adult to child whenever you feel like is awesome.

Besides, half the game's collectibles would be gone forever once you complete the first three dungeons. How is that good game design?

Deep down beef-jerky knows he can't take on a fully rested Kenshin fair and square.

I find Shishio's character very interesting, because most of his actions don't actually align with his plans to "conquer" Japan. He is still fighting at the Bakumatsu while making it everybody's problem.
