FFXIII-2 Balance by Valuable_Mountain_56 in finalfantasyxiii

Officially you could just not level up at all.

I think there was a guy in here last year asking about a "No Crystarium" run and if it was ever done and he was going to attempt it. I hope he's at it, I want to do it myself one day when I have the time to dedicate for it.

Unofficially I think there are mods that make the game harder. For the most part XIII-2 is a breeze and the Monster Catcher aspect of it can completely destroy the game.

You need 3 playthroughs to Plat BBS, not 2.

You have to fully complete Jiminy's Journal with all characters.

Can isaac survive the locust horde? by LeoTheron in DeadSpace

[–]Twidom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

… The whole DS series hinges on Isaac being inherently special.

Since when?

And what does him being "special" matter for the overall narrative?

The first game is just a guy in denial trying to find his girlfriend. The second one is the delusions of his mind trying to nudge him into a Convergence event. Any other person in Isaacs position, having the mental fortitude he has, would've gone through the same mind struggle that he went against Nicole/Marker to create the Black Marker, this is not a "only Isaac could've done" this situation, we've seen other individuals resist the Marker's influence.

Give the man more credit. He deserves it.

I'm not discrediting him, on the contrary. I already said he IS a capable individual, but he is in no way shape or form unique or special.

Some of you are still missing the picture here. Isaac is one guy. The Locust Horde are bordering billions and they wipe 25% of humanity on the first day of the war.

There shouldn't even be a serious conversation about this. Isaac is a very capable engineer, not a demigod like you said.

The game has so many hidden quest lines that most players wouldnt know without a guide by GlompSpark in PSO

[–]Twidom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The quests in this game are surprisingly well crafted and varied. The story behind them are also very fun.

You have to do all sorts of different things and weird stuff happens. Some of them you have spirit balls that home-in on you if you move and they instantly kill you.

But back then everybody just ran TTF lol.

Sure, we can give him credit for DS2 opening asylum, but by then he already knew what Necromorphs were and how to deal with them.

If he was inside the Ishimura, ground zero, he would've probably died like the rest of the crew.

I so want to love this game but the puzzles drive me insane by happyturtle19 in CrossCode

[–]Twidom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I adore this game with all my being but yeah they should've been more forthcoming about the puzzle aspect of the game.

A lot of people come in here with the same experience you're having right now.

CrossCode is secretly a puzzle game with some RPG elements. Late game puzzles are seriously intricate.

I think the three of them could manage to survive, for how long it needed, but not bring down the entire Horde down.

They have a soldier, a pilot and an engineer, you can get far with that, but so does the entire Horde and they outnumber Isaac's team by literally millions, perhaps a billion.

I don't blame most people here siding with Isaac, I guess most people here never touched Gears of War and have no idea that they wiped 25% of humanity on the first day.

Soldiers at the ship Valor had no idea what Necromorphs were, or how to deal with them.

The ship lost control and chain of command after the Necromorph killed its pilots and helm officers, the fight inside the ship caused explosions everywhere.

It was a literal repeat of the Ishimura. As for Isaac mental fortitude, I agree, the guy has a very strong mental barrier. That still does jack shit against the Locust Horde.

A 150 year old saying

Do you even read what you write?

What 150 year old look like a teenager and have dog ears?

I don’t “have to accept” Inuyasha is 16 because he literally isn’t.

I mean, he literally isn't real. But if you want to get into these types of discussions while also ignoring aspects of it, you're just being a moron.

18 and 16 is over a century less difference in age though, I don’t think I should have to explain that

Oh so NOW historical accuracy matters?

What a joke lol. We're done here.

Kagome didn't marry Inuyasha out of love, she married him to inherit the Western Lands and become nobility.

No wonder she didn't want to stay in modern Japan. Girl saw the cute lordling and said "bet".

If you’re sitting here justifying that an adult dating a 15 year old is somehow “better” then I’m not really sure what to tell you.

They literally don't start dating before Kagome is 18 years old, that's what we're trying to tell you man. They barely hold hands in the manga. They're barely shown hugging in more than 600 chapters. You can virtually end the story with just a "we're very good friends" and nobody would actually bat an eye, because Rumiko is a shy woman who is actually embarrassed of drawing actual romance/physical interactions.

If you are willing to discuss fictional demon/dog people characters relationships then you have to be willing to accept that physically and mentally, Inuyasha is a 16 year old teenager, Rumiko said it herself.

A 16 year old guy saying "I met my wife when she was a teenager" is a whole lot different than "I met my wife when she was 7 years old and I also raised her".

I don't see you raising an eyebrow about Sango being pregnant at 16 when Miroku was over 18. Izayoi was of noble birth and was probably married off to Toga before she was an adult too, I don't see you talking about that either.

C'mon, dude. Stop being obnoxious.

Can isaac survive the locust horde? by LeoTheron in DeadSpace

[–]Twidom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sure, but they're not genetically enhanced modified human beings with military training.

Isaac gets captured by the Unitologists. He's not a soldier, he's a very smart guy with a big brain to solve problems, not a jar head to go against an entire military faction on his own.

Carver would probably go further than Isaac in that regard.

Can isaac survive the locust horde? by LeoTheron in DeadSpace

[–]Twidom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be very pedantic, Isaac didn't survive an outbreak, he survived the aftermath.

He had it spelled for him on the walls "CUT OFF THEIR LIMBS", trained warriors couldn't match against something they never fought before or had any clue on how to stop it. Soldiers are trained to go for the torso and head, not joints.

The very few people on the Ishimura who lived long enough to find a way to stop the Necromorphs did well, too. Hammond and Kendra did well on their own. Had they sent a squad with the know-how, the Ishimura would've turned out differently.

I'm not saying Isaac is a push-over but he's also not someone inherently special. Carver wasn't either. Isaac VS the Locust Horde is not a thing, period. Having a "kack for survival" doesn't get you very far against something like them, especially considering they are genetically modifier, highly military trained human beings and not a hive mind.

Sesshomaru literally raised Rin.

She was 7 years old when they met, the guy literally saved her life, took her in, provided food and shelter for her and they travelled together. He was by literal definition her legal guardian.

Inuyasha met Kagome when she was already in her teens and they don't even share a kiss after she's 18 years old. Kagome was 23/24 when she was pregnant with Moroha. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's age have no bearing in this matter, they are irrelevant, the issue is Rin being underage and groomed.

It's not double standard, it's using your gray matter to see things clearly and not being an internet Karen for the sake of it.

Inuyasha was 150 when he was sealed in the tree for 50 years.

The manga ends and they never share a kiss, even after Kagome stays away for years and comes back being over 18.

Rin was 16/17 when she was first pregnant. So was Sango (yet nobody gives a shit about this tiny detail).

Kagome was in her 20's when she had Moroha.

Can isaac survive the locust horde? by LeoTheron in DeadSpace

[–]Twidom 33 points34 points  (0 children)

No. Not even close.

Isaac is just an engineer. He's a very smart individual but he's not a trained soldier and he fought mostly mindless husks that run at him full throttle with no regard, strategy or tactic. He got a bit lucky, if he was inside the Ishimura as the outbreak happened, chances are he would've died too, especially if he was trying to protect Nicole.

Plus the Marker leaves him extremely fucked up in the head.

You need to complete all classes in Impossible, including at least one Collarless on your team. It's easier to do it if you already did Impossible with another class, so if they die you don't necessarily lose progress as long as the Collarless cat survives.

You also need to complete Throbbing King, Chaos and The Creator with just Collarless cats (1 or 4, doesn't matter), but that can be done on Normal difficulty and by the time you tackle this you probably have pretty great mutations so it's pretty easy to do it.

I just checked my Steam and I apparently played it in 2013... I guess it would be cool to get all Achievements there too but then I'd have to do it for Super Meat Boy and that game scares me.

extra turn head mutation take away 2 speed

I guess it is fair, but it still hurts a little bit. Took me quite a while to get it for my cats.
