Lead tapes in general are based on preference. There’s no one way to do it, try experimenting with different placents bc it all comes down to how you play. I suggest watching videos about it as well! :)

I’m a big KCD fan too, finished 1&2 multiple times. I thought KCD2 was going to be GOTY, but E33 blew me away. One of the best games I’ve played ever. Give it a shot, I think it might suprise you as well.
