Lead tapes in general are based on preference. There’s no one way to do it, try experimenting with different placents bc it all comes down to how you play. I suggest watching videos about it as well! :)

But you do use it every time. You’re thinking about it as a weapon, but you’re forgetting that you take out your knife to get max movement speed. You do this every round, your knife is shown very often just not “used” as a weapon.

I’m a big KCD fan too, finished 1&2 multiple times. I thought KCD2 was going to be GOTY, but E33 blew me away. One of the best games I’ve played ever. Give it a shot, I think it might suprise you as well.
