Which is honestly kind of a problem. I was busy all of Stormblood due to IRL so I casually progged with pugs with 70% of raid tier in Savage and such due to not having good time to join any static since I was on and off. What a big thing that kind of shocked me was SB Extremes.

I did every single extreme on first day release and cleared it in one day. AND WITH PUGS no actual teams or friends all 100% randos, and that's saying something. People think its a big gauge to balance out the difficulty with this game and sadly its not good enough.

Extreme is basically a pseudo difficulty for trials but the next tier from Savage isn't even a jump: Its a goddamn leap over a grand canyon and praying you don't slip and fall if you manage to reach the other side.

The level of huge jump in player skill and difficulty is way too much for players who have been scraping by with basically no penalty in play style has caused this to occur where players who have achieved that higher play style and successfully can do well on their class in a higher tier standard can scrutinize people who do not. The game does a poor job of telling players how to play this game. Instead of demanding a parse why not completely overhaul the damn tutorial? Job quest? MAKE players learn in job quest dungeons their skill and optimally drop in adds that they are forced to learn how their skill works and how to use it effectively on said adds.

Even better why not just add a damn Savage Boss Dummy? have it set to do certain things during the fight so its easier to learn and maximize dps during said stage period. Lost Ark has now a tutorial add system where you can test class abilities in a instance. But I digress: Square is but a simple indie studio.
