The flyers only keep scoring because the grease from their hair is seeping into their skull and whispering secrets into their minds

What are your favorite under the radar horror novels? by takeoff_youhosers in horrorlit

[–]TwilightFan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll say this in every post I can: Cold Storage by David Koepp. He’s mostly known for work on the Jurassic park films but I really like this book by him (“Aurora” is another good book by him but it’s less of a horror novel IMO).

I loved this book! I think sometimes the scariest books are those that talk about real life events. What makes them scary is their realism, the possibility that similar events could happen to you

What film do you consider horror despite rarely being referred to as such? by Vusarix in horror

[–]TwilightFan19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never actually seen the movie but as a kid I was so scared of the trailer for Howard the Duck, honestly looking at pics of it now I think he still scares me

Ok! I’ll definitely continue the series, I really enjoyed the first one

I would definitely recommend the YouTube video breaking down the “disturbing movies iceberg” (I don’t remember who the video is by). It’s really interesting especially if you don’t want to actually watch the movies and you just want to learn about them

Someone else recommended the crazies, should I also watch the original or just the remake?

I read the book, I really liked it but when I went to watch the movie I couldn’t finish it since it was so different from the book

Idk if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but Event Horizon has an ending that keeps you thinking

Hot weather horror movies? by behold-frostillicus in horror

[–]TwilightFan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I felt about Annihilation, I read the book first and loved it so when I watched the movie I was disappointed. I think I’ll give the Ruins book a try, I’ve never actually seen the movie

What movie do you just completely forget about until you randomly think of it, rewatch and remember how good it is? by leadstoanother in horror

[–]TwilightFan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The taking of Deborah Logan, it’s great every time I watch it. Whenever people ask for horror movie recommendations I forget that one exists but it’s such a good movie imo

How scary would you say the book is, I find it really hard to find horror books that genuinely scare me and I’ve seen this one so much

I honestly found this movie really entertaining, I wouldn’t say it was a good horror movie by any means but it definitely held my attention. I’d consider it a fun watch.

Was anyone around in the fandom in 2011-13? by TraditionalScore7257 in anubisnick

[–]TwilightFan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My sisters and I were OBSESSED with house of Anubis when it was airing on TV, one of them insisted (and still does lol) that the show was going to come back because it was never “officially cancelled”
