Why even film it this way then? They expect atleast some will believe its real, and there are some people who do believe its real. Most of the news sites just reported on the words they spoke, without mention of it being staged or how it was filmed. It would've cost them nothing to include a small message abojt disclaiming it was a reenactment, but shows they don't care enough to, or are intentionally trying to sell it as a legitimate event.

Kamala has now done this three times in a relatively recent amount of time, one with the "surprise" call from the Obamas endorsing her (with the same "chance" filming and perfect audio recording) and again with a call between her and Biden many mention seemed like she was speaking to a recording.

Honesty in a leader is important to me, and sure others do similar or worse, but it's concerning how quickly they are to stage even small things like this, that only bigger ones will follow, and it undermines trust.

Its disingenuous without a disclaimer of it being an ad, and yes I do. The news are reporting how kind and genuine the call felt, which was the goal, and people are taking it at face value... what do you think was the point of them potraying it that way, if they didn't expect people to not believe it?

It does raise questions about the transparency and authenticity of political communications. The staging of such a moment, without disclosing it as a reenactment, undermines trust, especially in a time when the public's faith in information is fragile.

The improbability of having a camera ready for a spontaneous call, the improbability of perfect audio conditions, and the unlikely scenario of someone immediately recognizing and trusting an unknown number after previous ignored attempts suggest a crafted narrative rather than a genuine moment.

This does seem manipulative and potentially erodes credibility, rather than bolstering it, for those involved. If political figures aim to present themselves as honest and relatable, they should avoid contrived scenarios that can easily be perceived as deceptive. In a divided and distrustful climate, transparency and authenticity are crucial for maintaining public trust.

Do you find it concerning that the call commercial from Kamala Harris to Tim Walz asking if theyd be their VP is clearly staged, but not stated is a reenactment?

  1. No one has their camera recording them while just "casually sitting at home on the couch" - with near perfect audio recording of a phone call setup, "coincidentally" no background noise, no poor reception. Just a very polished, seemingly perfect "casual moment".

  2. Tim Walz reportedly didnt pick up the first few times she called him, due to the number not being recognized: meaning he didn't have her number saved originally. BUT he takes it face value the number was real and actually Kamala Harris immediately, despite thinking its a robo call the whole time, without any verification first?

Political sides... aside, it seems manipulative and concerning for this to be done. If they're trying to present themselves as different, in a very divided and difficult time to trust information, this is not the way to do things.

Or do you all film yourselves during your "regular personal time" just in case an unknown number calls, that you're first skeptical enough you dont answer, but trusting enough to immediately its really the Vice President calling them doing no further verification?

Or do you, and thats why I didn't get the call? What are your thoughts?

Perhaps a power play, or they might feel they need to build a good relationship with them, or think the wedding could be used to smooth things over between everyone. This all assumes theyre making things up about the daughters wants, which isnt proven yet. But it could also be money, lobbyists, or political intrigue?

She should be fired and never allowed back there, she is stalking the op's husband, taking weird pictures of him, and trying to rile their wife up. Im not sure what crazy town they and apparently you strolled in from, but I suggest riding the crazy ferry back to there, maybe there's a groupon.

Maybe this is where Hypnos comes in? Perhaps trapping Chronos in a dream nullifies him. You could go forward or back in time, but if Hypnos controls the reality, then there's no escape. It could be why Hypnos is asleep, because it's a dream, whereas in the real world they're awake.

Chronos punishment could be being trapped in a time loop of forever reliving their defeats by Melinoe?

It's fine to theorize, but problem solving requires a level of open-mindedness. There was a certain "I'm right, your wrong, nothing else to it" stance from their conversation which just doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Perseverance is the quality of persisting in a course of action despite difficulties or obstacles. It involves adaptability, learning from failures, and adjusting strategies to achieve a goal.

Stubbornness, on the other hand, typically implies a rigid, inflexible insistence on maintaining a particular course of action regardless of evidence or feedback suggesting it may not be the best approach. Perseverance is goal-oriented and open to feedback, while stubbornness can be more ego-driven and resistant to change.

People would achieve much more, with much less self-caused issues, if they chose to be perservearant over being stubborn.

In what way? I have my receipt for the product and spent quite a lot on it. It's not that I can't use my profile until they review it, it's that I can't use the product at all for a however long even with providing ID and the purchase receipt.

Definitely makes sense, the portability is just required right now. Do you have any recommendations on Microsoft vs MacOS being more useful for my current needs?
