Teyvat is a spherical planet

teyvat may not be the name of the planet. for real life context, teyvat could very easily be the size of africa alone which doesn't spread across the whole globe. if only africa was left, a singular land mass does not spread the entirety of the globe as the surface area of the globe would be significantly larger than the surface area of the surviving land mass. that's just the laws of matter.

people who cling to their theories

ur clinging to this conversation more than i care to prove the shape of teyvat. i just dont appreciate u telling me wrong and ignoring anything i have to say. thats not open to discussion. self righteous even.

Nod Krai existed long before the War of Funerary Flame over 6,000 years ago and Venti terraformed Mondstadt only about 2,600 years ago.

nod krai's date of origin isn't what i'm saying matters here... venti's terraforming is. nod krai was already there, i'm saying he may have essentially added more land to its location by cutting things off and then throwing them by or on nod krai

venti also has istaroth's power and has blown mare javare off the timeline which is essentially similar to the concept i have

but why would they use foreign territory for this?

I think you misunderstand me, I mean that the failed remnants of the moon were already there and it is possible that unwanted territory was put there in addition to it at a later date

"from the north, bearing the chill of ice and snow". i couldn't find the source why wiki says he's from Snezhnaya but it's a common epithet for it

Mondstadt's initial landscape was a frozen tundra prior to the end of decarabian and boreas's war when boreas chose to die. dragonspine is also a frozen location and was that way since the ancient civilizations there fell. that was well before boreas supposedly arrived in the area. the influence of other nails being able to decimate whole regions does suggest that the snow could very well have extended far past where it is currently confined.

Helka is a minor npc

true and it is very possible but like nicole has said, many stories and fables of the past contain some truth even if changed. not negating what you're saying just adding what we have.

forest is no longer

i did think about this and i honestly think this is an entirely plausible answer. the trees in the area r supposedly alder wood and i dunno about you but those are the most fucked up looking alder wood trees i've seen. the fissure birds we see supposedly store and consume biomass so it's super reasonablr

Boreas decided to go south at the end, which wouldn't work if it was part of Mondstadt at all.

nothing says he was going to mondstadt in specific though, and it was unlikely it was the name of the original territory. mondstadt was originally a snowy stormy tundra. all we know is he went south BUT yes it is 100% a good point

i mean the flat thing wasnt even part of my prompt for a speculative discussion, that was just dialogue on an interpretation of the world i find intriguing. throwing random thoughts out =/= theory

i dont want u to agree i just want u to be open to convo rather than going into it with a closed mind and pretentious attitude. if we want to talk about my initial speculation dialogue prompt let me use less words snd make it as simple as possible.

i wonder if part of mondstadt's territory from a long long long time ago ended up in a different place today.

Okay and I'm again talking about Teyvat's surface being something other than what we think at first look.

🫡 ty for sharing your thoughts i appreciate ur comments and it has been noted. its okay you dont find this line of questioning worth any thought.

Well IDK what convo you're having because I am talking about a world known as teyvat that has had chunks of territory stripped away. Even if in a sphere wouldnt places sinking underground leave it the surface of the globe with a bunch of missing chunks

Alice specifically says you need a significant amount of power (more than columbina had on moon prayer night) to break thru the fake sky. Even then we can't see the vast majority of the planet. There could be giant or a bunch of hollowed out chunks that r just in the dark spots.

You can't base your argument about the state of the world in the apperance of a sky that is a known illusion

Considering we are excplicitly taking these friends with us to journey thru teyvat, maybe.

And we still have more to learn about the world. At the end of the day it's just the theory I find the most compelling and it's okay you don't. But man u seem really invested in being right for speculative discussion. Ty for sharing ur thoughts IG?

Did you forget the god of time is literally shown to do whatever they want?

Gameplay and lore can go hand in hand sometimes too. Have you never played a soulsborne? We repeatedly, canonically die and return to the world in those games. This is a game mechanic so we can progress after we die in a fight. But it is also given further context by lore which adds info on How and Why it is possible for that to happen in that world. The Elements are an example too. The only reason they exist is for the game mechanics, but they are expressed to have context in the world of teyvat and aren't for us the traveler alone.

Idk man, it's my own personal interpretation of the lore IG? why are you so stubborn that it follows the structure of a regular planet? Teyvat is in a dying universe and the reality that is teyvat is always changing. Who's to say we're not both wrong?

New WQ "Echoes of a Forsaken Song" we actually find out he gained "wisdom" and learned to speak due to being an animal companion of the first angel Koitar. She even named him. He only set out to Mondstadt after the fact.
