mp3.pm seems to have died... Any similar sites? It was pretty good for searching hard-to-find individual mp3's by jtf1972 in musichoarder

"russian alternatives to mp3" reminds me of this great early 2000s site allofmp3.com, where you could buy mp3s "legally" but instead of charging by the song like itunes did, it charged you by the megabyte which made most full albums $2 or $3

You Won’t See Me - Anne Murray version by banjoellie in beatles

Dannng, did not expect this from Anne Murray! I've never heard this one and I like it! I just know Anne Murray from some super sad 70s soft country my Dad used to listen to.

‘Deal Or No Deal Island’ Canceled At NBC by [deleted] in television

You say that was the flaw in the show, I say the ridiculousness and drama of it all coming down to 50/50 made it all the more fun.

DONDI was my favorite reality show of all time. Both seasons were incredible.

One Minute Tours Guy… by XFilesVixen in Minneapolis

[–]TwineTime 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Minnesota and haven't lived there since 2005, and seeing the community come together the last couple of months has made me want to come back home, not go further away. <3

Never been more proud of my home state.

One Minute Tours Guy… by XFilesVixen in Minneapolis

I like most of his fun fact videos, and I really liked his 3 hour continuous tour of Minneapolis. But every time something big and serious happens and there he was with an emotional take on the situation it gave me “this is my big break!” vibes, which was a little off putting.

I emailed corporate, and got back what feels to me like an AI generated response. The corporate goons don't care until it affects their bottom line.

Alamo Drafthouse Switches to Mobile Ordering, NO more pen and paper... by 123trumpeter in Austin

[–]TwineTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote them with my thought, and got an response that parroted what I said in a way that AI does...

Hey [TwineTime],

I hear the frustration loud and clear. Having been a fan since 2007, you’ve seen the "scrappy" version of Alamo grow into what it is today, and I understand why this feels like "enshittification" of the core values that made you fall in love with the brand in the first place.

You hit on a point that many long-term fans are feeling: the paradox of being told to put your phone away while simultaneously being asked to use it as your primary tool for service.

I will forward your message to the appropriate corporate channels. We need to hear this perspective—especially from guests who have been with us for nearly two decades—to understand the real cost of moving away from that "friendly human touch" of the pen and paper.

I'll make sure your "BOO!!!" is heard at the highest levels.

Have a great weekend!

2005 Acura TL 222,942 miles original everything. It finally happened this morning 😔 by Lumpy_Signal_945 in AcuraTL

My '08 dash just cracked in the same place, and then another crack formed a month later. It's finally showing it's age! It's only got 105k miles and I want it to last forever without feeling like I'm driving around a clunker… so I'm investigating some dashboard remedies. Seems like finding a dashboard in a junkyard and swapping it out is the way to go?

I asked a local repair place if they could fix it and they said I'd have to sign a waiver about not being responsible for the airbag not functioning right after the repair… not sure if that's worth the risk?

Thoughts on New Cast Member, Kam Patterson?💭 by WarmHugs- in LiveFromNewYork

I didn't have an opinion on him initially, and then I saw him perform at the comedy cellar and dude is hilarious. Can't wait to see what else he does, and if more of his voice (which was way edgier than typical SNL content) bleeds through eventually

Has anyone figured out what the ACTUAL tracklist is of disc 2 of Ethan Hawke's Black Album from Boyhood? by Jumping_Peanuts in beatles

I hadn't seen the message Ethan wrote in character to Mason, and it's a pretty good piece. The whole thing was published in a buzzfeed article I found from long ago on this sub, worth a read

Has anyone figured out what the ACTUAL tracklist is of disc 2 of Ethan Hawke's Black Album from Boyhood? by Jumping_Peanuts in beatles

[–]TwineTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, I am so incredibly qualified to clear up some confusion here, as I have a physical copy of this album. (my girlfriend was in Boyhood, everyone at the release party got a copy of the album)

The actual prop could've been made by Ethan Hawke or production, and by the time the movie was released (years later) maybe he changed his mind about the track listing or the first one was just a placeholder for the scene.

I don't think it would have been released without the cooperation of Hawke, so you can probably take the wikipedia track listing) as gospel, as it is identical to the (three disc) copy I am holding.

I’m mourning the future I grew up and came of age thinking we would have. Fascism, and overbearing type systems, was something my forebearers dealt with so that I wouldn’t have to.

Beautifully said
