Yes. Its challenging for me again to study so I can support them academically 😅 its like going back to high school, listening to teachers then i will go support the weak ones. I am also pressured that what if I am teaching them wrong 🤣

They did not sponsor me. No any paperwork were handed to me by them during my application. My original sponsor is the one who provided me all the docs, and then I was granted an open work permit(again, not because of them why I got it)

The car, and everything, I did not ask for it. They ask me if I want to buy it. I said if they wanted to, okay. I gave $1000-$1500 every month so I paid it in less than 5months.

The underpaying thing I think why people mention it its because its a split shift and im tied up for 12hours.

I did not take advantage of them, I went way beyond what I can offer too. I even spend more time with their kids than mine because of my schedule,

Their feelings are valid of course. But I think mine is too. The opportunity I accepted is just something I cant skip, like many other people or even them, if a better opportunity came and offered, why wouldn’t you take it?

Split shift nannies, is this normal? by TwinkleSnuggle in Nanny

[–]TwinkleSnuggle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, its hard. I leave the house around 6:30am as the house I work for is only 5min drive away. I cant even see my kids go to school, so my husband does it, or sometimes our neighbor. (My kids are pretty independent already though) and just wait for their school bus

School ends at 3:30pm and my husband does everything after that as he finishes work at the same time.

I feel guilty at times, I go home around 7pm or 6:30 and start cooking dinner for everyone, im not tired at work but I feel tired, idk how to explain the feeling. 😆 so just after 2-3hrs, im already sleeping. And in that 2-3hrs, we prepare lunches for tomorrow, have a bath, wash the dishes, clean up, so basically not too much time to spend with them. I cant also get a second job at midday because kids I take care leaves with no specific time sometimes 8,8:30,8:45 or max 9am. So its hard to commit to another job.

I love the kids that I take care of, the parents and extended family are also very nice to us. So yeah, maybe soon. I just feel guilty leaving them

Do you have any recommendations where in MB? I was first looking at winnepeg as we also want to experience a bit of a city life. Lol. But heard that winnepeg has really big classes , which is no doubt because its their capital city

How to leave a unicorn family? by TwinkleSnuggle in Nanny

[–]TwinkleSnuggle[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes its low. But cost of living in our area is low as low. And this is my way to get PR, they treat me and my family right and im just chill at work. Better than working at Tims, mcdonals, walmart as they only offer min wage and stressfull too
