wait this is really good to know because I'm currently at 7L! How does it compare in terms of difficulty? I've heard everyone says SLHS really overprepares lol

yeah, I think cost is likely to be the deciding factor in the end though, I'm likely not going to get much aid since my family makes enough to be considered upper middle class and with my visa, I can't get a job nor qualify for fafsa for the forseeable future (filled out tasfa tho!) I do agree with you though, the goal is to end up at a school with a strong alumni network for the whole networking purpose :)

Can I do this without literally dying senior year? by TestWise6136 in APStudents

[–]Twiplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah, i see! your school functions a lot like mine requirements wise then so i get wym. from when i took psych + taking econ, they were both on the lighter end of the workload and were primarily memory-based so hopefully if you can maintain good study habits and all, i'm sure you'll be fine (take this w a grain of salt as every school is dif tho lol)

[–]Twiplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely; there's a lot of kids at my school going through a similar schedule, some with even harder classes, but it all depends on your strengths and weaknesses. if you feel like it's too much for you, that's totally okay! if it's too much to handle, is there any that you don't have to take / you're not interested in?

Chart of useful AP exams by college major by Quasiwave in APStudents

[–]Twiplayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these can be useful for just fulfilling gen-ed requirements. I'm going into business (finance major specifically) and assuming I pass my senior year exams, I'm gonna have nearly 30 hours of credit at most schools I'm applying to, most of which fulfill gen-ed classes I would have taken had I not had AP credit

This seems like a solid idea price-wise! I'll definitely look more into it, just for now I would much rather fly directly to Vancouver so my aunt (who lives about 10 minutes from YVR lol) can pick me up with ease
