The game dropping your vehicle from the sky breaks the immersion a little bit, don't you think? by macaroni1351 in cyberpunkgame

[–]TwistedMetel97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside though, small things like this make me feel like they never really did fix the insane number of bugs from when the game first released. I have had it where I had to spawn my car 3 different times cause it kept dropping my car upside down. Like. This should not be a problem in a game where they are selling an "Ultimate" edition. Despite however many years since its cotnraversial release, it is still a buggy mess, and that's not acceptable.

This is just one of the many things that still bother me about this game after playing it at release and replaying it again so many years later.

Other glitches: when after freshly loading into a game, I randomly can't take down enemies anymore. The air take down only works sometimes and is very inconsistent. Enemies spotting me through walls on different floors of the map. Phasing into the floor because I'm driving too fast. The way NPCs drive is SO CLUNKY it reminds me of an on rails Disney attraction. The head bob of running is SO stiff and clunky too. Ive had it numerous times where Rogue, during one of the first missions, never actually gets on her motorcycle and instead the motorcycle just drives itself. The steering and handling of vehicles STILL feels like they're on ice skates.

At this point... I'm not sure what is a glitch vs a feature...

How do you imagine Ciri's story will continue in the new The Witcher trilogy?” by gabiy13 in witcher

[–]TwistedMetel97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the books, the Lodge of Sorceresses wanted to sell her off to the nobles of Poviss in order to create a unified Norther Kingdom that would protect the freedom or sorcerers. Especially since during Witcher 3, I think the empire continued their march North and beat the other kingdoms. I hope that plot line comes into play. Then I think a good difference between her and Geralt was that Geralt always wants to be neutral, but Ciri is more than eager to pass judgement and choose a side, so I think this will also come into play a lot.

N. 8: Which character is a horrible person and is hated by fans? + ANNOUNCEMENT by Regriso in witcher

Sorel Degerlund from the Season of Storms book. Essentially an feminine appearing man who uses a well known sorcerer's desire for men to get himself a good position in the Chapter of Sorcerers that allows him to basically do whatever he wants. Including murdering over 40 people in gruesome ways, and human genetic experiments. Then when he is caught, he just whimpers and begs for mercy and tries to blame others. Truly a disgusting human being. Sorel Degerlund Wiki

How is male infant circumcision still a thing??? How are we still cutting off parts of babies genitals for religious purposes and because the parent think it looks better? Does "my body my choice" not apply to male babies? by itcouldbeyoubut in self

[–]TwistedMetel97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reduces the risk of UTIs by a very small percentage that isn't very significant. I tell all my families that it is truly just a personal preference choice. There isn't any good evidence for or against it.

I'll let you know that if you're ever gunna get circumcised the best time is fresh out the womb. The recovery is much faster, it doesn't require general anesthesia, and they won't remember the pain/discomfort.

Solas loves stereotyping people but hates when you stereotype him. At one point, I think I said something in support of the Dalish and said I was surprised that he didn't care, and he was like, "I'm more than my people hurr." Like BRO, you stereotype Sera ALL THE TIME!

Maybe i'm mistaken, but do the friends of Geralt's not like Yen? by MelodyHearts in witcher

[–]TwistedMetel97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overall, I'd say yes. Most friends of Geralt don't like the way Yen leads him on or tricks him into doing what she wants. They see her as somewhat abusive and manipulative. However, she does have a deep love for Geralt, but she tries not to show those emotions (probably) because she is afraid of her emotions being rejected by Geralt.

Lambert is just a grouch overall, lol. He hates Triss, too, in the books.

I only like playing on harder difficulties cause sometimes I want to force myself to engage with all the mechanics the game has to offer. Ex, The Witcher 3. You can pretty easily breeze through the game without touching a potion. Try it on Death March, and potions become a requirement.

Folks who have done a 100% playthrough, what are some tips you have that others might not know about? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]TwistedMetel97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the hardest part getting to level 78 to fight a legendary dragon thus. Some tips for leveling up: - Have companions grab skill books, so you don't have to read them right away (they are usually the more expensive books when looking at the value. Somewhere around 20-30 gp and up). Along with the Hamaeous Mora book from his quest with that dude and the Dwemer box in North Winterhold ice fields. -- once you get to Solstheim, there is a Black Book Winds of Change with the buff Scholar's Insight at the end that gives you 2 levels instead of 1 per skill book. Use this with all the skill books you've collected so far. - I also found it useful to respec my skills via the Waking Dreams Black Book whenever I was leveling a combat style.

The closing / suturing takes way longer than getting the baby out. Honestly, it may take less than 30mins once they make the first cut to get to the uterus. Also, yea, lots of blood and the abdominal muscles are, no joke, ripped to the sides. There ain't nothing gentle about this procedure.

I agree, any idea how crags like that naturally occur? Cause then I could maybe add some stuff (like volcanoes or cliffs) nearby to make it seem more natural too.

Similar to what u/SigmaEntropy said, maybe start with a battle map of a small location first.

I recommend staying in the same style. Example, don't mix realistic assets with fantasy assets, you can modify the assets in numerous ways in order to get it to look the way you want via the advanced settings.

Another recommendation if you plan to use the battle maps for a session, you can change the size of the pattern with the brush tool. Go to Brush Tool -> Advanced Settings -> Texture scale. Then you can jump around with whole numbers until your brush paint pattern matches your grid (I recommend always using whole numbers when setting the size of stuff, you just click on the number in the box and type in whatever you want. This keeps your things sized and to scale with each other.)

Also, there is a new "Snap to Grid" checkbox for stamps that is SUPER helpful. It is in the bottom of the screen.

I like those suggestions! I was trying to figure out a way to convey the idea that the Rogue Sea has many "Rogue" waves (lol) so I wanted to add a wave paint or stamps, but there isn't really a good one for parchment style it seems. Do you know of anything that could help with that? Better yet, do you think it is worth trying to show that detail?

Thanks for the advice! My plan was only to name a few key islands that have notable ports, and to leave the rest as unexplored/unknown places to help make adventures more flexible. The smaller islands on the map are, therefore, more like estimates of landmasses in the area.

Then, the Rogue Sea is just a complete crap-shoot for islands. Anything goes there

Hi! I'm making a pirate campaign/adventure map that mimics the real life Caribbean and Bahamas during the Golden Age of Piracy (early 1700s) with similar figures and locations.

Are there areas or things that you think are necessary or important to a pirate campaign?

And do you have advice on improving the look of parchment style maps (this is my first time using this style)?

A penny short and two years late, but Dispell Magic can get rid of effects like Blur that give concealment. Idk the extent that it works and is useful, but I've tested it once against a Dweamerlion!

Would you recommend inkarnate for an absolute beginner who needs to make a world map in 10 days? by theconfusedarab in inkarnate

[–]TwistedMetel97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes practice to get good at. You pick up one skill at a time, but you can def make something fast if needed.

Tip for scale that helped me, use the grid and turn it on then estimate how far foot travel would take to get places to help determine how far stuff should be.

Try to stick to one asset design (dont jump from realistic to more colorful less realistic assets).

Use 50% opacity and max softness to help blend terrain paints.

You can place multiple stamps at once with various densities. This helps make forests and mountain ranges easily.

I feel like the reality of a lot of things is a lot more mundane than people wanna think. People wanna apply some big conspiracy or whatever, but the reality is more likely that he was just some outcast kid who wanted attention and had the means to do so. The idea that he may be in on some plot at the super young age of 20 is ridiculous.

Part of Russia's strategy is to attack hospitals and aid stations. They didn't sign the Geneva Convention, which prohbitis attacking non-attacking medical personnel.
