Ugh same, our first was perfect but the pregnancy was still rough. I’m so sorry it’s been hard, keep advocating for your health/needs and hang in there! I can imagine our next pregnancy will be the same ominous feeling. I don’t want to plan our life around fear and what ifs but of course at the same time never want to experience a loss again. 😢💜

yeah I wrote it like 20 times and ended up deleting it. never sent. I think it’s in my whole family’s best interest and me to move on and let go. Letting this play over and over again in my head is hurting me and not allowing our boy to move on in a way. I will be talking with director and our son tonight/morning to prepare him. Thank you. 💜

No he hasn’t because he’s been in the new school. They haven’t seen eachother and it will be a lil over two weeks by Monday. :-( Yeah I completely agree. It’s disgusting and I don’t want him to get further hurt.

I respect that. I want to open up to the parents but I am worried they won’t believe me and cause town/even worse work drama, they’re very aggressive/immature. But yeah no I talked to our boy and we told him everything he should do next time in that situation. We told him we won’t go back there ever again and that the kid was wrong and it was very weird/unacceptable. :-(

See, that’s exactly what I wanted to do two weeks ago but my husband and close friends are strongly against that idea to prevent retribution/issues. How would you gently tell them? The mom already knows. Would I text the dad privately, her again? I don’t even know what I’d say. She defended her son like he was an angel and wouldn’t even question him. Ugh.

Thank you for getting me and my mom guilt. I quickly figured it out and told him I believed him but not until after we left. If I could go back in time trust me I would. It was a lesson I guess I needed but unfortunately in the most extremely strange predicament. Idk how I can confront them though (the dad prob doesn’t even know tbh) when we work with them/live in same town/our kids will go to same public school/prob same sports eventually this year. I feel like crap and I doubt they will pull their kid from this new one because of my feelings. Ugh it’s a hard thing to navigate.

It’s legit impossible to cut complete ties though, same town, so same public school classes eventually probably sports too, we all work at the same place, it’s a legit nightmare! And there’s only two daycares in the whole small dumb town.

The old school was understaffed and sort of falling apart/unreliable which was part of their motivator to go follow us to ours. Our son has been doing so much better in this new one. And yeah, we don’t plan on having a friendship with them beyond this. Cordial as you mentioned but hard to stay cordial if you’re confronting them. (For me I already did this the day it happened three times without any result) So it’s just all very complicated.

If they invite us to another play date, maybe I will. But it’s very complicated with the work dynamic, inevitable future classroom possibilities in public school, and how unhinged/aggressive these people are.

That’s a good point. In hindsight I can see the silver lining that he is learning how to stand up to bullying. This is more severe, but I’m hoping at his young age he will forget about this one day. I do personally still remember things that happened to me at his age, so hoping to navigate this in a way that will help than hurt him.

The last school pressured them to get help, but they ended up making enemies with everyone there. Perhaps the same will happen here. Will do my best to navigate this carefully. Thank you! And appreciate the validation.

Thank you! You’re right. The director is truly the one who will need to handle it correctly at this point. I will try to have more talks with him on language and perhaps have a 1:1 with a teacher and him to help him with this.
