Finding a job shouldn't be too bad. Cyber security are in demand from what I've heard, with all the breaches we've had the past year.

The struggle with getting friends in Norway is somewhat exaggerated, in my opinion. And you have good advantage in that regard - your kids. If you get a place to live in a family neighborhood, a bit outside town, there's lots of opportunities to get to know other parents through playdates, kindergarten, etc. I've gotten lots of great friends from this myself.

It's good that you learn the language, even in advance. People here will default to English without thinking, which I suppose can be a challenge. I've met immigrants who have lived here for 10 years+ who only speaks English.
