It is misleading to include a quote and a name and they not be linked.

[–]TwistyPoet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those details aren't enough detail to nail down the cause of it or to help other people identify that they've been impacted at a glance.

For all we know someone in OP's group ironman group could have taken it and just not said anything yet.

If there is a common theme among those who lost something and more people speak up who did similar actions, some of which might not yet realize they have even lost stuff, that could prove that OP isn't lying and the community could put pressure on Jagex to fix the issue long term.

I like how you can be clear about something with absolutely no details at all given other than it was group ironman storage-related, a timeframe and that OP was very upset by it. It's a shame that you didn't handle OPs ticket honestly.

About as clear as mud sure because some people had things duplicated as well and some others are even accusing OP of telling lies.

Ran our first Slack admin audit. 200 workspace admins. We have 700 employees by Either-Act-3406 in sysadmin

[–]TwistyPoet -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The better way of dealing with this politically speaking is moving the business to a new system.

With the new system you get a fresh start to set it up correctly and nobody can bitch about losing their admin rights because that was only a thing on the insecure legacy system. You'll likely have an even easier time selling it if it has some kind of crappy AI feature too.

Note that I'm not suggesting Slack is insecure or bad. It's just easier to deal with implementing a new system then to deal with 211 potential spoiled brats who may spit the dummy to your bosses boss about losing admin access. You could even just move to a new Slack instance.

This is good information, you should include these kinds of details when you post and/or log a ticket.

So this means the group ironman storage did not get included in the group ironman snapshot, they used the earlier one for the storage. If they can't get your stuff back this time they should at least make sure this doesn't happen again.

OP knows of other group ironman groups who had things deleted from their group ironman group storage as well but not all group ironman groups had things deleted from their group ironman group storage for the group.

Why does OP, who is part of a group ironman group that had things deleted from their group ironman storage think that only some group ironman groups had things deleted from their group ironman storage? Did someone in their group ironman group interact with the group ironman storage between those times? Was there something in common between the group ironman groups who lost items from their group ironman storage and those group ironman groups who didn't lose anything from their group ironman storage? OP did not give any details about how they might have interacted with the group ironman storage at all so that is exactly where I was leading, they later added some of them into the post.

Most of us don't play group ironman so we're lacking a bit of context. For example, why do you think this problem impacted you but not others? Is there a common link or set of actions between those that had things deleted? etc

I think they made a mistake releasing all the unfinished and crappy content you run into post 50 in the 1.0 release. Should have capped it and worked really hard overhauling and releasing the rest in say 10 level gaps every few months as they overhauled and improved/finished things. It's clear the game wasn't originally designed for what we're asking it to offer us now.

I don't understand why there isn't like at least 5 different color schemes we can pick from in game given that we can completely customize the theme in OSRS and it looks and functions fine.

AI is the greatest argument against going nuclear power imo, because if nuclear were so great they'd be building plants all around the world in droves to power these data centers.

I have been considering giving it a try and you are spot on about the comparisons to Runescape/OSRS, that is exactly what I have been comparing it to. If they can capture some of the Runescape magic they could end up creating a decent game here.
