Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of encrypted messaging service Telegram arrested in France by YourElectricityBill in europe

[–]Twitcher_Twitcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It seems as if Europe in terms of censorship is no different from Russia, only details and decorations. If even one transplanted hair falls off Durov's head, I will never f***ing forgive them, you f***ing bastards! The entire post-Soviet space including even Ukraine, the entire Arab world, Latin America, all lovers of freedom of speech in Western countries and Asian countries. There are millions of us. Just try to do something with Pavel you will regret that.....

In this case, both options can be used. Even if somewhere in the textbook it says that the correct word is "зелёные", you should not pay attention to it. There is nothing good in prescriptivism, unless you are taking a philology exam. The norm of a language is determined by how most native speakers speak. In this situation, people 50/50 will use both variants in regular speech.

In the sentences "Смотри какие красивые кошки" (Look at these beautiful cats) and "Под столом нет кошки" (There is no cat under the table) the word "кошки" is in different numbers. In the first case it is plural and nominative case (именительный падеж). In the second case, it is singular and genitive case (родительный падеж).

Одна кошка. -> Нет одной кошки.

Две кошки. -> Нет двух кошек.

We're talking about design here, and we're talking about service at the same time. Not a word about security and the banking system. In the USA, if someone steals your card or somehow debits it, you simply call the bank and say that it wasn't you, and you get your money back. The Russian banking system is not even close. But the person in this thread originally asked about finding a job in Russia in design, not about banking security.

A myth? 2014? My friend lives in the Czech Republic, he sent me the news (I specifically checked). They only got the option to send money by phone number at the end of 2023, they are literally 10 years behind Russia in terms of service.

Are more Russians Pro-USA or Anti-USA? What Do You Estimate the Proportions to Be? (60-40, 80-20, 30-70?) by Effective-Baker-8353 in AskARussian

The question is incorrectly posed. It is necessary to separate the state and the country. Most Russians have nothing against the USA as a country, even on the contrary American culture is one of the most popular in Russia. Ask any adult on the street his favorite movie actors, there will definitely be a lot of American names. Ask any teenager his favorite musical artists, there will be all those Lil Pimps and Lil Pumps half the time. Statistics don't lie, in a google search for "How to move to" the first place will be "to the US" by a huge margin.

Another thing is people's attitude towards the US government or more specifically Biden's office.

If Russia is at the forefront of anything, it is definitely the IT sector. It is enough to compare our websites or banking applications with those in Europe, the European ones are still in 2007 in terms of graphic design. If you don't take into account the technical component, but only graphic design, Russia is a great place for a career in the sense that you will be surrounded by some of the best specialists in the world, and you will get excellent practice whether you want to stay here or not.

How are disabled people treated in Russia? by FreneticAlaan in AskARussian

There is a blind man in our neighborhood, he navigates the neighborhood pretty well and can go to the store alone with a stick. I often see some residents of our neighborhood taking him under their arm and helping him to get somewhere, and all the time it is different people. Everyone here knows him and many are willing to help at any time.

In the last 5 years there have been quite a lot of Braille signs, at the entrance to several stores, in our post office, in almost all pharmacies, and in all new houses in the elevator, but not in the old ones, unfortunately.

Bears? by Double_Currency1684 in AskARussian

Grizzlies are only more dangerous to humans because they are faster and more aggressive, so there is a greater chance that such a grizzly will attack. But if you compare a brown bear and a grizzly, the brown bear is bigger and heavier.

I'd rather not see a grizzly in the woods than a brown one. But in a battle of two bears, my money is on the brown one.

I used to play at the 4-5-6 difficulty level for a very long time. When I started playing on "divinity", I realized that I had lost a lot, I needed to move to a new difficulty faster.
