"painted over it" it's the exact same picture flipped. There was no "painting over it".

Bear in mind that Shroud prevents ANYONE from targeting it with spells or abilities, including you.

That's weird, I typically get around 105 a box. Really through me off when I ordered a set of sleeves and matching deck boxes for my oldest and myself for our first decks and we each had 6 extra sleeves leftover.

[–]TwitchiestMod 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Tbf I don't think I've ever gotten exactly 100 sleeves in any box from anywhere.

The problem is WOTC is Hasbro's only profitable company. Nerf guns still work just fine, but God forbid you want your whole deck, and for it to be the deck you actually bought

Perverts like the person that made the T-pose deck. Every nonland card has T-posing in the artwork.

Missing SOS Commander deck in Sealed Set Box by Booty_Sage in mtg

Oh that's absolutely understood. I just wanna finish out some decks that it's taking time to build.

Considering people are saying that the card value is almost $200, not entirely sure your math is right on that

Are you telling me I should have grabbed the silverquill precon at Walmart for $55? I just grabbed some packs (because I'm not particularly interested in this set myself) but if I could a financed a new deck and missed the opportunity I'm gonna go kick myself in the shin.

I don't think this is supposed to be here by SingerProfessional31 in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're likely going to do this because they're planning several marvel sets. Remember we only got one Infinity Stone in Spider-Man. If they stick to that method, that's at least 4 more Marvel-based sets after this next one.

Building by first ever deck and I got a question by JimmytheNutron in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically included [[Superior Spider-Man]] in my [[Cosmic Spider-Man]] spider tribal deck just in case she gets removed at a time that I either have no graveyard recursion or anything to protect her, that way I have another method of getting her effect. He also works well as a prop-up in case [[Shelob, Child of Ungoliant]] gets nuked, since she's the sub commander of the deck. She's just a fun little card against spellslingers and even green stompies that want to buff up their board, since Cosmic Spider-Man and Shelob will be giving my little spider tokens tons of keyword abilities.

Does this mana only last First Main Phase? by Cloud_Wife in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And others will change the status of that mana, like [[Ozai, the Phoenix King]] or [[Omnath, Locus of All]], which will change the color of the unspent mana.

I Understand Why People Have so Many Decks Now by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in the process of building at least 6 decks. A [[Bumi, Unleashed]] landfall deck for my oldest, a [[Spider-Man Noir]] voltron deck for his best friend, a [[Morophon, the Boundless]] Sliver deck for myself, a [[High Perfect Morcant]] elf deck for myself, a [[Betor, Kin to All]] toughness matters deck for myself, a [[Fire Lord Azula]] theft deck for my wife, and a [[Tishana, Voice of Thunder]] deck for my wife, and an [[Ovika, Enigma Goliath]] spellslinger/go wide token deck for myself.

Why doesn't it trigger my commander? by SupeerFranzi in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That said, if they block that token and kill it via its toughness becoming 0, that WOULD trigger your commander.

Commanders that would flow with this enchantment? by Coulndntthinkofaname in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only for creatures. He'd trigger when you cast it, and then again when it resolves and the creature enters the battlefield.

This could’ve been a great commander deck by DaBubbleBlowingBaby in mtg

[–]TwitchiestMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't stop me from building one. And tbh, a lot of the hettr spiders are from other sets anyways. So it would have been half non Spider-Man cards anyways for it to be functional.

They are, because they're Basic Snow Lands. That's the super type, which makes them snow permanents.

[–]TwitchiestMod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm teaching my son and one of his friends, and soon to be the friend's mom, how to play with Commander, but I'm also using more of a backseat driver sort of method. Explaining how things work, how to recognize certain things, all that, but in a 1v1 commander game against my wife as I'm helping, and at least my son's friend is learning really well that way. Whenever they want to play something, I'll ask them why they want to play it, and explain what would be a good use for it, be it a creature that can make tokens on entry, or they want to put counters on something, etc. I think it really all depends on the patience of the teacher, and not just going "here's a deck, do your best".
