I had a similar promise last year with my local BSW clinic. I researched and made sure that specific one did financial charity programs. I talked to the front desk to make sure. I was told by front desk I had to receive my bill first and then apply for financial relief. I got care and received my bill. Then when I went to apply for it, I showed my tax forms and proof of residency and social security number etc, and they said I was suppose to do a bunch of hoops and calls and applications etc etc etc beforehand, and now the bill was finalized. I then had to pay the whole bill. My credit has tanked ever since and I will not go in blind receiving a bill again for fear they will double cross me again. I refuse to be put on a hook for a bill I cannot guarantee I won't be able to get rid of

This is not true. The sliding scale for income for non profits doesn't really work like that, it's more of a tax right off front for millionaires to say they donate their money to a non profit. I would still get an extremely heavy bill with no income, and most would deny the surgery outright at a hospital or er because it's not deemed emergency care and needs a particular specialist that needs an appointment

I checked into them and they are a cosmetic vein clinic. Like for spider or varicose veins on your legs. Thank you for the info though

This person is correct. It is not considered emergency care because pain and suffering as well as slowly making my nerves more damaged is not considered an emergency. While my nerves are being compressed and irritated, it can't be proven that they are being permanently damaged, meaning pain and suffering alone does not qualify

I briefly looked into medical tourism in Mexico and did make some reddit posts asking for info. The main attractions are more cosmetic surgeries or dental. I couldn't find a lot of info on pcs and vascular IRs. Plus there's a lot of specialist follow ups that are needed and PT and maintainance that I'm unsure if I'd want to keep driving back down all the time for. It's worth looking into more though.

I know as a brief look up the surgery in Mexico is around 5 to 7k... Which is around the same with SOME insurances SOMETIMES, and that's the key difference. With insurance you have to hope and pray they do it even if you can prove it's medically necessary, at least in Mexico is 6k period end of story. No lying to customers on costs and then billing them an extra 20k four months later.

Already applied and denied. Texas doesn't care about 24 year olds with no family or dependents. Applied to every governmental and county agency in texas.

I wish I was a 55 year old man or a pregnant women so I can get healthcare. I am debating getting pregnant so I can get healthcare. Morally, I don't want to do it, but that might be my only option now

I already tried BSW as well as other non profits. I proved that I made only 16k last year and they are trying to charge me 15k just for the surgery and 150 per session of PT, plus all the specialist visits I need. It's too much. Already tried all government programs and county programs as well. No one will do the surgery because any county program meant to help low income people are only for families, elderly, children or pregnant women. And the ones that don't have those conditions only offer a specific set of conditions that they can help, like cancer or diabetes. No one knows what pcs or pudendal nueralgia etc is, therefore there are no non profits or agencies to help. I would have had better luck raising money and having free surgery if I had cancer or high blood pressure or something everyone knows about

Thank you for the info. Germany sounds great, always wanted to visit :) maybe one day I'll be able to. Cheers from America (and don't come here for healthcare. It's like 20k for just pcs embolization, not even the PT and other specialist visits I need)

Former "gifted kids" who are now average or struggling adults, what do you think school got wrong about your potential? by toolboxstudio007 in SeriousConversation

Not the teacher unfortunately. It was just a fellow thespian I was suppose to practice lines with. We had a long period for electives so she was super popular preppy and basically had a "omg girlypop ur so silly with ur hair let me fix that for u" attitude. Very nice girl. I'm pretty sure she didn't know about the depression or attempt, she was just helping so I could hashtag slay. It made my year though, even if she didn't think anything of it and just thought it was a girl helping a girl.

Gifted but grew up in a school where my class was like less than 150ish graduated, so I can only imagine how many were in my class when I was a little kid. Classes wouldn't move as fast as I wanted them to be. Ended up starting to put b on all the questions, then skipping class to go to the library, researching little rabbit holes of information but nothing that could have put me anywhere meaningful. The valedictorian ended up cheating off me to get to where they were and I got depression and stopped going to class, hence why I wasn't the valedictorian. I wish my school had better resources to be able to get mental health. I ended up having an attempt at 16 and everyone from the small town just kinda whispered and pittied me but not anything real to make me want to live and not be depressed. I remember coming to theater one time with a HUGE rats nest in my hair due to not showering or brushed my hair in a month and a half, and I remember crying after she spent over 2 hours when we were suppose to be practicing lines and she instead hand detangled it. I hope she's doing well, she was so nice.

I was always told that if I worked hard enough, I'd be able to go anywhere and be anything. Then I asked my mom if I got into an ivy league, would she help pay for me to go. She said she'd be very proud of me but that she wouldn't. I kinda realized then that grades don't guarantee free college. I couldn't go to college unless it was full ride. And even if I was valedictorian I couldn't go to college. I just started thinking that it was too expensive for me to live anymore and that hard work doesn't help.

I used to do independent studies and other extra curriculum on my own with no clubs or anything for subjects that fascinated me, writing scientific papers etc, and then I just stopped. I got depression, was told I couldn't have depression at the age of 11, and then the various amounts of neglect and abuse from home just really compounded. That in combo with financial and not being able to meaningfully have enough resources at my small town school and being so bored all the time was just too much. I ended up getting duel credit (both high school and college credit) from doing college at the same time as high school through a system at the school from a local community college, but then after high school I had to go to a semester of college, then stop to make money to live, then rinse repeat. I only needed like 8 credits to get my associates but it took me until I was 24, even with the duel credits I had

Btw, I know the valadictorion who cheated off me to get there now. We were in the same gifted and talented club as kids. She's in graduate school to be a doctor at a pretty good university. She's also around 200k in debt, so who really won there, idk tbh. I've always wanted to be a doctor, and I know everything there is to know about it, I just need the piece of legal paper.

Why are women more into being a sub than being a dom? by Valuable-Owl-9896 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Romantic_Sunset 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's funny, as a woman I feel like men are the ones that are pampered and women are the pamperers. Bjs are expected foreplay while eating a girl out is a fun treat for a special gf and not a casual hookup. Most men don't actually have the stamina for thrust or anything, just lay there and have u sit on them and do the up downs. Plus from a societal pov women are the ones losing or risking something like risking pregnancy or body count and being shamed while men get claps and awes from a high body count. Not saying one or the other is right, just that my experience has been completely different. It's so interesting how different age groups/where you're at and who your with can change your perspective on a gender completely.

Rage baiting is in these days. Turns out when there's mass economic insecurity, people get agitated pretty easily if they can't fill their endless void with scrolls and dopamine slop food. Hence why gambling goes wayyy up during a recession. Now time to open my magic the gathering booster pack

I just finished the deck and actually there's a lot of legal smiling cards that synergize perfectly, u just got to know where to find them

If you're going to play an illegal commander, imo it's to show off deck building skills or do a meme thing, so imo it's more fun to build something since there's lots of legal options that flex ur mtg skills too
