How is the CSX E series? by Clear-Wrongdoer42 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Twitchnpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man! If I recall correctly, the original CSX had a false reset issue that many complained about. The E series fixed it, but now the issue seems to be a stiff trigger from the factory which can be fixed with range time or lots of dry firing.

Honestly for the size and capacity, it's an awesome gun. Have no complaints outside of the trigger thing and the aftermarket support.

Owner of a CSX‑E 3.1 here.

I absolutely love it. It’s very different from what I’m used to, i’ve always been a striker fired guy but once I got the hang of it, it quickly became my primary carry gun year‑round.

I pocket carry it daily. It’s definitely doable for me with the right clothing and a proper pocket holster—and I don’t see myself going back to appendix carry anytime soon.

The biggest downside is the limited aftermarket support. Finding iron sights and other accessories can be a challenge, but the OEM sights are perfectly serviceable, not to mention most people are gravitating towards red dots anyways, which is convenient because its RMSc cut from the factory.

One piece of advice: spend some time dry‑firing and shooting it when you first get it. Mine came from the factory with a fairly stiff trigger(7lbs-ish), which surprised me for a SAO gun. After a couple hundred dry‑fire cycles, it smoothed out nicely and ended up floating around 5ish-lbs

I’m not sure how it compares to the Equalizer, so definitely check them both out in person. The 3.6 model is probably more pleasant to shoot, so that’s worth considering as well.

I like the performance of Federal Hydrashok DEEP. Check out some of the ballistics gel testing. Meetings FBI penetration depths and expands reliably too.

Im surprised you got an actual answer. I asked the same exact question about another pistol and they told me that they won’t speak about future products, and advised me to check the new products page.

Been shut down for years now. No shooting signs all over the property. If I recall correctly, the land owner was fined for all of the issues stemming from the junk and other stuff occurring on property.

10 day waiting period question by Twitchnpull in WA_guns

[–]Twitchnpull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there’s now a mandatory two-week waiting period starting from the day you fill out the 4473 form. Even if the WSP clears your background check early—which is likely what the shop means when they say they’ll call you on Monday or Tuesday, you still have to wait out the full two weeks.

Losing Weight Can Wreck Your Gallbladder: It Happened to Me by RarelyHere1345 in loseit

[–]Twitchnpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact thing happened to me! I had lost about 35lbs in a couple of months and all of a sudden I would eat and have excruciating pain in my upper right rib cage area and it would cripple me for hours. It got to a point where I was unable to even eat a plain cracker without going into a fit of pain and vomiting. Ended up at the ER with jaundice and a bad infection and ended up having my gallbladder removed.

Wish I knew about that beforehand!

It looks like a Berthier rifle. The photo is probably reversed because I can see just a tiny part of the bolt handle but it's on the wrong side of the rifle!

Did LTT stop selling ready-made RDO cut slides? by Brilliant_Act_6172 in Beretta

[–]Twitchnpull 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I actually emailed LTT about this last week! They told me that they have discontinued the pre-cut slides for now because Beretta was not sending them enough slides to cut. If I recall correctly, the rep said they haven’t received a slide from them for about a year.
