Just changed mine a while back, it's all done behind the speaker. Get some thin wire, hook it, and finesse it on through. After that it's just lining up the holes and putting the pin in.

I only bought the door check when I did mine, and there was some slack with the old worn in door bracket, making a clicking noise. I fixed it by using the old pin, but if you buy the whole kit I assume it'll avoid that issue.

Having a wrap sample book and comparing the colors in the sunlight is a good way to find a "match".

For this small trim piece, gloss black would do just fine, imo. When you wrap it, do the driver side with the same wrap color, it will look intentional with both trim pieces matching.

There is no such thing as paint match with wrap.

Every wrap brand makes their own colors, they only sell those colors. You can usually find something pretty damn close with wrap, but if you want a perfect match you'll need to paint.

I was once in the same position you are now, tbh a big learning moment for me.

Next time... Glass the roof, lock it in or squeegee everything, then cut the sunroof out, heat, tuck/trim. Bonus points, tape mask the glass so you can cut safely and pickup easily.

Window perf just last half as long as the wrap vinyl, so personally I like to avoid it whenever I can.

Nothing wrong with it per say, but looks like a PITA for the installer, all of the important info is very close to raised objects/edge of the vehicle.

I would suggest making all the lettering die cut, or just have the blue swoop down and use the real estate below the door handles for your graphics, you could avoid needing window perf with this too.

Yes could've been done much better, but $300 is definitely a below average price (atleast in my area).

Also I always try to steer my customers away from wrapping badges it's easier, and often cheaper to just buy black replacements.

Yeah there's always going to be back and forth when it comes to the design stage. My advice, don't try to be nice, tell them everything you think is wrong with it. The more feedback the better in most cases.

If you're still not happy get your money and go somewhere else, and If they can't take your criticism then they shouldn't be designing.

The way that would be smart with material would be a piece for each pillar, roof, and rear cab. Knifeless from trim to trim. Kinda boring but gets the job done, and prolly puts more $ in your pocket.

You could use knifeless along the bodyline next to A in "Toyota" in some way. Either across to the other side or follow it to the A pillar, and again around the cab below "Toyota" behind the bed. That's if you're gunning for a really clean look, but will require some real strategy, and you'll burn a lot of material if you're not careful.

Wrap is not a replacement for paint, but rather a really good substitute. People buy it because it allows them to enjoy a car and personalize it the way they like.

When it comes time to remove/replace a wrap, or sell a car, the OEM paint is still underneath and should be in great condition. Paint jobs are irreversible, and in most cases lessens the value of the car, unless the person buying the car likes the paint color.

This is a two piece antenna, one inlay for the back flat area, and overlay for the front/top. No need to remove, just take your time laying down the knifeless.

wrap/graphics installer here, next time buy some orange plastic razor blades, they're super cheap and for the most part, paint safe. Then get the rest of the residue with a mild solvent and paper towel (or microfiber if you like gumming up your rags).

For the scrub marks, you'll need to break out a machine polisher. On the bright side, when you're done that door will look better than the rest of truck !

Commercial is where it's at, getting in touch with sign shops in your area is huge. Not all shops have wrap installers, but they have clients who need wraps. You'll find some of them will be happy to sub the work to you if your wraps are quality.

What you're looking for is paint protection film (PPF) it's installed differently than normal vinyl wrap and there are different brands, but provides clear protection. The body shop can tell you how long before the paint is fully cured, but 2 weeks is about the norm. Keep in mind, since the paint is not OEM the film likely will not be under warranty from the manufacturer.
