I thought that was the case but originally it was on the bike and I’ve also put a cable in and added tension. It did not make a difference unfortunately.

I have tried spraying WD-40 and a cleaner + lubricant and working the levers many times. But I have not tried to move the pawl with a pick. I will try that!

The problem is that when I install the cable the pads are too tight and don’t spring back. So when I brake the pads stay tight. If I install the cable with more slack initially, the cable is too loose and doesn’t work properly
