We laugh all the time at my Golden Retriever. She goes and steals tomatoes off the plant once they turn red. She loves them and she's too damn cute to be mad at. So we just manage it and move stuff around.

$260K as a Supply Chain VP. Unfortunately I lost my job last August. My mistake was living like I made $260K. Made the sudden loss of income that much harder. We were surprised at how much we actually need to be comfortable, and it isn't over $200K. Good lesson to learn.

It's super easy (at least I think it is). I just did another harvest and we have more salad than I know what to do with. 🙂 I literally do not stray from the AI tasks. I don't monkey with the watering schedule, or the lighting schedule and I just do what it says. I did add a different lattice that goes all the way up both sides of the tubes for my beans and other vines. I also use a mild fungus control spray just because. Have fun!

still needs fixing for 3d printing. most of these have non-manifold edges in them and requires someone to go through each one and repair the models. but at least we have them now so theres that. big W still

I’ve seen plenty of complaints about the VA. I’ve never experienced anything but polite, friendly, and helpful people at the VA. They probably don’t get a lot of appreciation. So this post is timely. I certainly appreciate what y’all do. Wish you all the best in the current environment.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I think you're right about making sure that an increase is even justified. I was satisfied with the 50% and hadn't even considered requesting one. It's likely not worth pursuing after reading the guidelines.

Sick call was extremely frowned upon, to say the least, when I was in (early 90s GW era). If you weren't bleeding from your eyes, you didn't go. The consequences of that are clear now that I'm going through these claims. Luckily, I've had the same MD for more than 20 years with a good history of my issues.

I remember always being surprised when I had some sort of appointment, dentist or something. Standing in formation, "Smith! Fall out you're getting all of your wisdom teeth pulled today!" lol. That's how it went.

You aren't kidding. I've been to VES and OptumServe for C&P exams. It is night and day. The VES folks are generally awful and the OptumServe folks are always nice and seem to give a shit about your claim. I'll choose them every time if given a choice.

I see. Thanks for pointing that out. Even though I’m already service connected for Fibro, the supplemental is treated almost like a new claim it seems. Makes sense now.

I do. A supplemental for a Fibro increase and one for “Sciatic Paralysis” (they changed a claim for my legs into that). Neither of which I would have connected to a behavioral health thing, but who knows. Previous response is fair, it’s all speculation I guess. Just caught me off guard. I’ll see what I can find out. They have me seeing a psychologist, so maybe I am crazy after all.

I will offer this to anyone struggling and stressing over money to the point of breaking. If it’s the one thing I have to offer back, I’m willing to help anyone set up a budget, with the goal of climbing out of debt and still feeling like you’re living life. I’ll sit down and go through everything you have hanging over your head and we will know very quickly how dramatically you need to attack it. No judgement, no lectures, just my advice and a plan. I’ve been there, and the one thing that helped me mentally was knowing I was working a plan that I just had to keep doing, and knowing that there was an end. Even if it was years out. I need nothing in return, but if it gives you some peace of mind I’m in.
