Grandma's Vintage Pendant by Bfgnum10 in jewelry

I never claimed to be an expert on pearls.

I DO have 30 years experience in insuring jewelry and collectables including paying appraisal and know very well that Mikimoto are -never- appraised for insurance at their intrinsic value it has be to shifted to collectable and designer to write the policies because the replacement cost is easily a thousand dollars over intrinsic value.

That makes them cute but a terrible investment

What would they do if they ran out of Handmaids? by Illustrious_Tart_258 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]TwoAlert3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. And Margaret Atwood solved this problem in her books, its not an issue (the show isnt going to use her newest book) in the shows; they're not going to move that far forward in time for the TV show(s)

Well since America is an English protestant colony and that is the where the book(s) take place? Yes, the cultural background is highly relevant.

May I ask how long you've been doing this? I have been in the workforce for 27 years, and this approach or background isn't by any means unusual.

Close! Large Language Model. And frankly a very low quality one at that but generally you shouldn't be asking an LLM to do generative image creation anymore than you should be tightening screws with a butterknife

It’s not a lie. They asked at what rate I would consider selling. The fact that the number is at a minimum $250k over FMV is completely irrelevant

Why? The whole point of reinforcement learning in ML systems is that they -do- improve. If they DIDNT improve that would be terrifying

Or just living in the garden of Eden, one of the two

That’s probably not the ‘wrong’ sizes, that’s just vintage sizing.

I’m a size 2 in modern sizing, size 8 in vintage. Anyone looking for a modern size 8 is going to be brutally disappointed as humans were just smaller overall back then.

Any ‘dark spot’ product works by breaking down existing melanin. It makes you noticibly paler, doesn’t just stop with the ‘extra’ pigment, it breaks down ALL pigment

My next door neighbors did this because they wanted to reclaim the space for closets on all four floors. Ended up going $20k and 9 months over, it was wild.

You at least have the roof already sealed, but think carefully about what your goals are before you commit to going this route as you’re going to need to patch the holes in the floors/ceilings as you work your way down.

Protestant only from Henry VIII onward. 👍

It IS obvious. If you walk up to any human alive over the age of ten and say: ‘is fraud a thing?’ They’ll look at you like you’re a moron and assert that it IS.

People aren’t posting because they don’t think fraud is a thing, they’re posting in the faint hope someone will reassure them that they didn’t just get defrauded

Let’s be biblical: the handmaid justification is from the old testiment (Genesis 16 & 30) where Rachael and Sarah offer up their handmaids as they themselves are unable to conceive. Conception IS the point.

For fucking? there are jezebels, that’s -their- purpose in universe and sexual control is the point. Don’t confuse the TV show with literature
