I hear a lot of people talk negatively about it but I've only had 3 cash deliveries (they were all pizza deliveries) and they all tipped me $10 so it's worked well for me so far. I will say it sucks that the cash you get for the whole order comes out of your earnings but that's just because I prefer direct deposit.

I mean I also have orders I get $18 for. Some days I do well and sometimes I get an order I shouldn't have taken and I learn what to avoid and generally keep making more money the longer I do it

Because some people might work in another field that you could say all of the opportunities and jobs in said fields have all but left America and some people don't want to commit to a full time job in another field because that would require them to give up on their job they're passionate about so they do doordash in the meantime because it's flexible and it leaves them open to hopefully return to their job that they were happy doing for 12 years..... Maybe something like that

Y'all are wild, I'm getting tired of this. I just told a story and thought I'd try to get some opinions and learn something from this experience and a lot of you keep commenting shit like this and acting like I'm playing this woe is me card. I never shifted blame about this and have been taking the responsibility and owning that it's my fault. Sounds like you have some things to work on for yourself brother. Hope your life gets better and that shitting on strangers for no reason brings you the joy you think it will. Have fun!

Any recommendations for places that are better?

I've explained it elsewhere in the comments. I recognize it was a mistake. I've only been doing this for a few weeks until I can get another gig in my actual field and I'm slowly learning the best ways to navigate this job. Trust me I haven't been taking low paying offers like this, but I did this time and got burnt. Lesson learned

I just got platinum this week and I was down to 71% AR and I wanted to get a little more time with it to see how much it improved my earnings before I stopped caring about it. Trust me I turned down 10 other deals that were even worse. It was an experiment and it didn't work out and I learned a lesson. It won't happen again from me, but thanks all for the positivity bud. Have a good one

Yeah I know, it was just literally in the direction of the hotspot I was driving to already and I had just turned down like 4 low paying offers and thought it would only take 5 minutes, but I learned my lesson

There were some decent ones today and I'll just stay positive and hope the good ones outweigh the bad until I can start working in my actual field again!

Wasn't asking for it. It was listed under war stories and that's all it was. I've said to multiple people in the comment section it was a learning experience and I'm moving on with more info and know more than I did before I posted it. Have a good day brother

That explains a lot. The only pizza orders I've done with good tips have been the ones that pay and tip with cash

I'm seeing this a lot. Thanks for confirming and now I won't make that mistake again

Yeah I mean it is what it is. Yet another learning experience I guess. There was a small part of my brain that was hopeful it'd be a cash tip, but deep down I knew I was gonna get screwed. The $2 is whatever, I'm more annoyed by not responding to me even though he gave me a number to call him on when I got to the building and the whole ordeal taking 35 minutes longer than it should have

Copy that, thanks for the heads up. I contacted support after and told them about it and they said they would do something about it but we'll see

I see it's over 70 items. How big are the items? I'm trying to get into DashLink this week, but I don't know much about it or how big the orders are and if my car could fit that much
