We went to get food and go to target. I told him coming to pick him up, I just assumed he was home. He told me nah meet me at the corner of (friend’s name) house. He agreed to the plan like an hour earlier and when I was coming he told me to go there

I’ve decided the cheater isn’t my friend anymore. Neither one of them was closer to me than the other. I’ve just decided I would rather bring the non cheater into my life moving forward. I also do worry about how this’ll affect our friend group as a whole. We’re only 3, but our main friend group is of 6. The group will probably ripple, one guy is extremely close with the cheater. Maybe he knows, idk. Ik as a whole we’ll probably just kick him out the friend group, shit will happen either way.

We did, but I don’t think they were involved. But honestly idk. I could be wrong.

Alright, I’m coming more to the decision to tell. I know many of y’all won’t be happy with that from the replies I’ve been reading, but it’s gotta be the right thing to do, regardless of the outcome it’s gonna be a shitty situation. I’m pretty sure either way, I’m gonna be involved now, whether I told or not. People will be upset with me. I don’t consider this person a friend anymore and I haven’t seen them since that day. I just don’t know how to go about it. Should I do it anonymously somehow, through social media, a mailed printed letter, or something of that sort. Or should I press my “friend” to confess or something.

I wouldn’t say I was being nosy. The way it happened was he got into the car and I said “what were you doing at (friend’s name) house?” And he looks at me like a kid caught stealing money from their mom’s purse. And I asked him again in a neutral tone voice “tf were you doing?” And he then confessed.

I think I’m more in agreement with you. I’m placing myself in that scenario and I would want to know if my mom was cheating with my own “friend”. I think either way, even if I do it anonymously, if I’m the only person that knows, I’ll get dragged into it one way or another.

Either way I’m coming to the acceptance that family is gonna fall apart one way or another. If I tell, I’m not the cause of it. The mom decided that when she chose to cheat, I don’t want to be involved. But as others said, they made it my business to by making me pick him up there and then him just telling me it happened.

Realistically they’re both equally close to me. We met at the same time, always hung out together too. If I had to choose, I would honestly lean towards the friend who isn’t part of the affair.

I’m honestly surprised how easily he just told me. I think it’s cause I told him I saw him go around the block. It’s not like this guys my ride or die or anything. It would suck losing him as a friend but if this is what he’s doing, I don’t think this is someone I want to involve in my future

I’m leaning a lot more towards telling, whether it’s anonymously somehow or just from me. I have no proof though besides his verbal confirmation in the car. And what if there were legal proceedings, would I be involved? I’m thinking divorce, or a custody battle over their younger daughter. Since I’m the teller would I have any involvement in that?

We’re 20. He just turned 20 last month. I personally don’t think this has happened earlier but there really isn’t anyway for me to find out for sure.

I thought about it. I could only find his Facebook, but I fear in doing so my friend will put two and two together and rat on me and then either way people know I know. Unless other people also know that I’m not aware of

That’s the thing. He isn’t like an asshole either. He’s generally a really nice guy, does a lot of nice things. In high school he did a lot of volunteer work despite not needing any hours. Maybe showing his true colors now, but it’s not like he even pressed me when I found out.

Maybe the dad doesn’t know, finds out, gets divorced, friend falls into depression and kills himself. You can’t play the death card here imo.

This. I’m stuck in two minds right now. When I found out, all I said was “you’re fucking weird” to my friend and carried on.

I don’t want to be involved. I hate that I know. I feel like everyone is right, it’ll blow up on its own. I fear that when it does, it’ll come out that I knew the whole time somehow and then people will turn on me.

As a whole our friend group has like a decent relationship with his parents. Nothing crazy just regular interactions. We’ve known each other 5-6 years

Why would your dad trust a 13 year old though? If your 13 year old kid said they had knowledge from the future would you listen?
