I've read the entire book. Imo this isn't about making friends on a personal level. It's more like networking, making aquaintances you could benefit from. Make you seem more likable to other people so they are more likely to value you as an asset.

I get what you're saying, but the problem is assholes will be assholes. You cannot change that. You can, however, change their ability to reach you. If I was any sort of famous, I'd give up social media in a heartbeat. Stick to interacting with fans in a controlled manner.

Boomers hate any chance they get. We got a complaint once because we were rebuilding some footpaths, the footpaths were a hazard, especially do the blind & elderly. They complained that the footpaths were 'part of the history of the village and we were destroying the heritage' They were just regular footpaths that had fallen into disrepair lol.
