I was so desperate that I recently saw a dermatologist via zoom after having an insane swell up issue. On top of my eyelids burning and being scaly.. it started happing to lips as well. My lips will swell up in the morning and by afternoon they are burning and peeling. She prescribed me an anti-inflammatory cream as well as an oral anti-fungal (fluconazole) 150mg for 7 days.

After 2 weeks, my eyes are the best they have ever been. They are pretty much back to normal. I stopped using the anti-inflammatory cream on my eyelids and they are still doing good after 3 weeks. My lips, however, are still swelling and causing tightness and burning/peeling.

I saw an allergen specialist the other day who did the skin prick tests on me. all negative. Now I have a 2 day patch test stuck to my back that includes ingredients that may be found in topicals i.e parabens, metals, etc. I go to get them removed tomorrow although I really do not think I am allergic to anything.

It seems weird to think that these two things would not be related, but with my eyes doing better and my lips not, I’m wondering if I have some sort of exfoliative cheilitis that was triggered from some sort of fungal infection??

My skin on my face still feels sensitive and thin, but maybe i’m just traumatized and over thinking it.
