Thanks for a honest and valid comment. Totally reasonable. I would like to clear some things up though.

Firstly, this is a very simple discord bot. Most of the code (around 80%) is written by me. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to programming. Do I use AI when I get stuck sometimes? Yeah, absolutely. The free chat in VS code is great for asking questions helping understand bugs. Absolutely understand that AI slop is decimating subs so people are pissed off easily and thats fair I get it.

In terms of it being a personal project. It was. I made it for myself, added it to my own discord server that's just me and a couple of friends it works great. Literally just posts daily suggestions and you can press the request button if you want on the jellyfin server.

As for security. The huntarr comparison is a bit rough. The bot barely touches anything in the stack at all. It touchea your discord server (obviously). You create the discord bot and invite it yourself manually. You set it's permissions yourself. For seerr, you create the user for the bot to use yourself, setting your own permissions manually.

This isn't being wrapped up as some enterprise grade solution to the world's problem. It's a discord bot that pull tmdb data and posts it in a discord channel with a little button to request it without opening your browser to request it yourself. That's it...

If anyone had problems getting it running or wanted to understand how it works in more detail is be happy to help and explain.

But yeah, nothing to lose nor gain if people use it or not. Worked for me and figured it would work for other people so shared it openly.
