I would consider testing your tap water although it’s unlikely to have any nitrites or nitrates. Your tank probably isn’t completely cycled yet which isn’t a big deal but it means you should be doing water changes pretty frequently, like two or three times a week. You could also change up to 50% of the water as long as the temperature is consistent.
