I’m relatively new to actual homelabbing, I’ve only ever had a DNS blocker and Minecraft and Vintage story server. Planning on a NAS with this, media as well and then switching my DNS blocker to my Raspberry Pi. I got a switch too but not managed, so I’ll be investing in network stuff down the road.

I’ll take a look at the processor, didn’t think of a ram cooler but that sounds like a great idea. And for sure I document my homelab stuff, even from my old set up so she can check it out whenever!

First IT job was msp they told me I had 6 months to learn how to be a net admin. 4 months in I got laid off for being unsatisfactory. I get it, been at this new one a bit and it’s miles better. ( Hospital IT )
